I'd say (my opinion) that if the shortcut is in the EVO game, leave it....I'm not a shortcut fan myself, but they are a part of MTM2....

Kc removed the OK buttons and made OKing the trucks a chore for the moderators of the site...

This was done because trucks were being OK'd by people other than the authors, before they were fully tested....it sounds like you were one of the reasons for the change....you should only have OK'd your ...

You may never get a satisfying Chrome wheel....

A chrome wheel is basically an odd-shaped mirror....when the wheel rotates, the reflection stays put...

On all the "chrome" wheels I 've seen in MTM2, the reflection goes "round 'n round"...as do shadows and such on wheels mapped from photos ...

Don't confuse the two....

Zoon is a track-maker (possibly the best track-maker in MTM2)

The Ford race body came from a truck I made using the EVO body....I renamed the textures, but I guess I mixed them up, as you discovered....

.TRK file..........a text file with discriptions of the truck (i.e....truck-name,positions of wheels,axles, axle-bars and lights, contact points (bump dimensions),info on what truck/wheel ...

NFS cars use a TGA texture...maybe the import plug-ins are mixing EVO and NFS requirements during the import procedure...

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of a "standard" for these prefix's....I have MDL and .GEO models from other games that won't work with Zmod...

If it's the color pallette from the track that makes your truck look different, then start up a stock track and see if your truck looks normal again....if it still looks the wrong color, then it's not the track...

Hang on to your older Windows CD's...you can get software that lets you have multiple operating systems....so if you want to use older programs, then you just select "windows95/98/me" or whatever at boot-up, or "windowsXP if you are going to use the computer for other purposes ...

I did too CH-2005...but a regular, convert-only procedure means the whole truck is mapped to a single 256x256 .RAW file...this creats blurry paint-jobs when the truck is in the game...and text on one side comes out reverse on the other, due to both being mapped to one part of said single texture ...
