Track - The Moors
Maker - ValveJob
Genre - Circuit

A great looking, all custom track set out in the northern country of England. Good textures, excellent models. The track was created using random terrain which suits the heath and heather of the moor perfectly, as does the excavation backdrop. The road winds it's way through castle ruins and the stone walls separating old feudal manors on which are housed some terrifically rendered buildings that really capture an old pre-victorian atmosphere. Where's stone henge? You needn't stick too tightly to the road path, though, since your truck has plenty of room to run rampantly over the brambles and bracken between stony checkpoints. The shortcut through Dorkminster Abbey, lol, will put you out of the race if you slip up for just an instant but shave big seconds off your lap time if you don't. Sorry, the computer trucks don't like the stone arch bridge. This is a one minute circuit that should be some fun in multiplayer. The track looks great and ValveJob has done an excellent job developing the old english theme - I expected Hardy to come out of one of the houses to greet me driving by. Download it.

Yes... Fun track in Multi-player.
It's tight and fast, but room to "make your move" and get around a less fortunate racer in front hat wrecks.

I give it a 4 on the KC 1-5 scale.
It may have got a 5... but not if IE trucks can't compete...
A 5 requires total perfection.

Where's Stonehenge Phin? In the South of England! Image
This is a finely rendered track - in fact some of the best textures I have seen to date. I am very familiar with the North Yorkshire moors and ValveJob has done a first rate job to recreate the landscape. The custom models are excellent - again some of the best I have seen. This guy is either a perfectionist or has a lot of time on his hands! Image
The computer trucks weren't too much competition but I think this would be a great on-line track. If there was a fault I would say it was the fact that you CAN miss out some great chunks of the track between checkpoints. Maybe some of those excellent models could have been used to prevent this. Of course this little quibble makes no difference on-line. A great track worth downloading for an excercise in texture and model making. I'd be willing to bet that VJ will be getting 5's on KC's scale for future tracks.

I have to agree with everything said so far, just adding a little visual. Image
