Fila's Holiday aka Egypt from Evo2 is a desert rendezvous though the hills, dunes, ruins, and an oasis along side the Nile in the land of the ancient Pharaohs.

U know... until the school finishes (around 2-3 weeks left) i am so busy with it that i barely stay online (and of course barely making tracks) but i somehow felt like visiting the forum and WOW... hehehe, i think i told you that Egypt is my favourite Evo2 track no?
I'll check it out right now!!!!!!

I'm not much of a reviewer... i plain ol' **** at describing something, so for that i'll let Copey do the trick (nice puppy).

This one is set in Egypt, modern Egypt though. The course takes you through the sites of todays Egypt and you will see lots of Pyramids, the Sphynx, ruined temples, statues and the typically arabic house. After running through the desert you will also go for a little water (in case ur truck needs). That water is non-other then the Nile and it has a small village right next to it (as usually, since the Egypt life is spread along the Nile). The typically arabic houses i said? Yup... they are unfinished. As a result (at least in Egypt) of having anual taxes per house people decided to leave all of their houses unfinished (no roof usually and that means the house is still in construction so no taxes) and u betcha, here is the same thing.

Even the markings on the Obelisk's are here. The racing part is very good. Pretty easy so people shouldn't have any probs clearing the lines and online things can get pretty messy on this track having 3-4 fast racers on it.

Another very fine touch that i found is that at the checkpoint markers there are markings also, hieroglyphs and i tend to believe it says "Checkpoint".

Hierogplyphical Alphabet Well, at least a version cuz i found at least 5 versions until now.


So to shorten this thing up in a few words: This track kicks some rear (as all of his tracks do actually) and it's another must-have from our very own Malibu.

This one sure stand far above standard mtm2 tracks just like the rest of Mal's track. The graphics quality is such that it feel like you're there for real (well.. as close as it get). Wider than the other tracks mal converted from evo, this one offer prenty of areas suitable for bypass maneuvers witch mean close race from start to finish. The track layout is rather easy but it flows so well I couldn't help falling in love with it right away on first run.
Way to go Malibu!!!

First off this one was kind of a surprise track. I never knew he was planning to kick out another one so soon after "Tibet Cliffslide", but here he is, back at it with conversion number seven. Some say this is Mal's best effort to date with respect to the tracks he’s converted over from EVO 2 4X4 to MTM 2. I wouldn’t even begin to engage in such an argument, and the reason for that is because I love em all – every one of them. Nope, that's not a cop out, but rather an honest assessment of what I think about his tracks. How was that, Mal? Did I get it right? What you told me to say, I mean. I tried to sound really, really sincere…just like you told me. Hehehe

I intended to do my usual in-depth, detailed review, however, that little weasel (the guy who’s name is on this track – Fila) kinda beat me to it...and the youngster did a very nice job! That’s quite all right though; I’ll simply move on to a couple of projects by two first-time track makers. I’m looking forward to it, too because they don’t nag me to death about what to say, how to say it, and on and on like Mal does. Hehe Getting back on track (no pun intended), it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if this one emerged as the most popular of all his conversions due to the very reason Jump mentioned in his comments; the width of the track. Much like "Deadman’s Gulch", you have ample room to pass, however, unlike Deadman’s, "Fila's Holiday" affords racers definitive lines and boundaries, which seems to be the style of track most preferred by the vast majority of racers (except me because just like Mal told me to say, I like em all!!).

Seriously though, what more can you really say about these conversions? They’re all superb tracks, and in my opinion the ones sporting the narrow roads are absolutely great to run offline because they push you to the limit, challenging you to perfect each and every turn. Winning on these types of tracks hinge on gross errors made by your opponent versus outright passing as you would on so-called conventional MTM 2 tracks...and I love it!!! Although “Fila’s Holiday” offers you significantly more elbow room, it’s just as much fun to race solo as it is online with others.

Just as Fila said, it’s a must have, and if you look at this track you’ll realize Mal’s commitment to excellence hasn’t faltered one iota (boy that’s a weird word). As a matter of fact, here’s a quote from the man himself: “Rest assured that I always do what I can to keep the tracks performance high and all future tracks by me will under go my newly implemented military standards of track quality control as well, aka mil.WK.QC.005-1”. I can’t comment on what his standards of quality control consist of, but he states they’re “military standards”. I did 20 years with the Air Force (3.5 yrs as a Quality Control Evaluator) so I can say with confidence his self-imposed criteria for excellence must be extremely tough. But that’s neither here nor there – Mal’s tracks more than substantiate his pledge to perfection, as you will undoubtedly see if you sample any of his tracks.

The “Copey Rating” is a no-brainer: Malibu350 + EVO 2 4X4 divided by conversion = “10”. It’s really that simple, and it doesn’t get any easier…or better than this!! Once again, great job Mal – very, very nicely done, bud! : )

Great track Mal. I really like the layout and flow of the track. And the scenery, well it's just awesome.

i'm still amazed by the quality of the models and textures. are those evo conversions or you made them ? Track layout and terrain placement are excellent also, truly fun track

The models, textures and course layout are 100% TRI's Evo artwork.

The terrain elevations, banks, bumps and jumps are 100% mine. Once that was done the models were carefully put in place one at a time.

Like most of my tracks this one was built for speed and a fun experience.
