For those of you that surf the reviews from here to find the tracks you want, I have a present for you Image

The review entry page for vales.com now supplies a direct URL you can copy and then paste into the review here when you start it.

As you can see by the test link below, it simply calls my MTM Tracks page with a search for the Track Name and not the .zip file itself.

I figure since the review started from my page, the track must be there and my page is where your going to go to get anyway, this would make it easier for you.

Feel free to use the format for other reviews here should you want to add a link to them as well.
If it was started from my site, then the topic name will contain the exact track name from my site, just change the search= to that.

Test Example:

Get this track at KC's MTM Place
http://mtmra.com/vales/mainTracksMTM.asp?search=Sierra 2 Tourney Edition

As you can see, this forum will not link more than the first word in the search.
But, it does display it.
So, if multiple tracks do come up in the search, no biggie, your still close.

If I can improve on this later, I will.

KC

Off the subject, but I also moved the Beta Reviews to another Forum.

At the moment moving a track from Beta to OK'ed retains the Beta Forum link.
It can be easily deleted, and even a new review here started by the person that OK's it.

My question is, should I go ahead and delete the beta review URL when it's OK'ed so it's blank...
Or let the person that OK's the track take a look at the beta review (which may be a finished track with author input) first so they can copy any info they might want before changing the Review URL to this site?

Nice search feature, KC! Image

My compliments to you...

This will make finding older (or new) tracks much easier!

While we're on the subject, the mtmg bbs now has a search feature. This should help find those old posts you know are there but just can't find.
