This is not a track. It's not even Jimmy's own truck. And there's a space in the pod file name so it won't work anyway. It's a junk upload, so don't waste your time downloading.

Jimmy,

We have a forum here where you can say whatever is on your mind.

http://forum.mtm2.com/viewforum.php?f=13

We also have a forum where you can ask track making questions or offer suggestions.

http://forum.mtm2.com/viewforum.php?f=10

But please do not upload bogus files for the sake of making a point. There are better ways to say what you have to say. Please use them.

Hey Everyone...
I just had a thought the other day about why someone doesnt try and have a go at building a track that looks normal with Bigfoot 5 and its rather large wheels. it just doesnt seem right driving this big monster with half of the wheels being sunk into the ground. perhaps if a beta track is uploaded then everyone can have a go at piloting the monster around at its full height.
Just a thought.

The only way to do that would be to make a miniature bf5, then make some half size tracks for it. That'd be fairly simple to do but the truck would handle badly.

Sounds like fun, I'll give it a shot.

Hey Malibu,
Thanks very much on having a go at what i thought. A mimi bigfoot sorta wouldnt really look right but by all means someone will find a solution through a bit of trial and error.
Another thing that I thought of was to alter the ground level like on the small tire tracks. I havent had anything to do with that though so I may be talkin trash for all I know

I never knew anything about this forum and I apologise for uploading the txt file and the pod. I didnt realise what else I could do instead.

O well, I know now LOL
cheers

Yes. We all start someplace. No harm in the end, and that's why we talk about these things. Welcome to the site.

Thats a great Idea, though it isn't possible through the ground level like ST tracks. ST tracks set the depth of the ground to a higher number. The ST trucks on a regular track will appear to be hovering becauase the game is not used to the smaller tires. If you run a regular truck on a ST track, they will appear to be sunk, just like the Bigfoot 5 wheels. Unfortunately, the depth of the ground only goes one way, and you can't put a negative value to raise the truck up from the ground.

Are you looking for a circuit/rally for this truck, or a drag/freestyle type thing?

Bugger about that.

I was looking at a simple drag just to test things out at the moment - even a flat bit of ground with a couple of things on the ground - signs etc. Im not looking for a full blown track, this is just to see if it is possible.

I wonder if you can use a whole lot of invisible ground boxes on the ground just high enough to raise the truck up so it looks normal. Then place objects and textures on the real ground - not on the boxes so it gives the truck a realistic size compared to other things.

That is what I was originally thinking when I first read your post. It seems poosible, but you would have to use trial and error to see how high up you need to place the boxes.

The only way to make this work is to shrink the truck (mtm2 micro-machine). There is no track edit.

I'll post something here as soon as I get some time off, in a day or two.

When you first described the idea, I wasn't sure what you meant. But now that I see it, it looks pretty good.

so Thats The shrunk version of bigfoot 5?
Looks really great with th ewhole truck not having any of it sunk into the ground
Can you do a shot with a normal size truck in as well so I can see the size difference with the trucks.

May I try the whatever you took that shot on?

looks great, one problem - its TINY!!
I've got a pic showing the normal sized bigfoot, Dennis Tafts bigfoot and yours - but I cant figure out how to insert pics :?

When you see the pic you will see how out of proportion your truck is compared to the others. Bigfoot 5 is meant to be a giant against the others, but this one is totally on the other end of the scale. LOL.

You've done a great job though - Keep up the good work. [:-)]

Oh well - im not the kind that uploads pics all the time - so it desnt worry me.

Every truck in MTM2 must have 66 inch (5 foot 6 inch) wheels.

Because you can not make the wheels bigger Malibu made the truck body smaller.
This gives the truck the proper proportions. It looks like bigfoot 5 when by its self.

It is impossible to change the size of the tires.

Sorry.

If you would like to make more trucks to race with Bigfoot 5 then you could learn to repaint trucks and you could make some more of these large-wheels-mini-trucks.

Here's a tutorial:

If you have any questions just ask us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Actually, Dennis Taft's Bigfoot 5 looks cool. The wheels are a problem,
but I haven't really noticed them much.

Although, when I race the truck's in the air most of the time anyway.
[;)]

I hope you don't mind, but I modified the paint on that Bigfoot 5 with
the paintwork from another bigfoot truck, just to clean it up a bit.
Unfortunately my HD corrupted and I lost everything.
