Hey all, I just put up a new texture making tutorial at Road Rage ( http://roadrage.gnnetwork.com )

Not only does it teach how to make seamless textures, it teaches you how to use them to make perfect texture transitions as well. Check it out! Tell me what you think!

Looking good ObeOne. Thanks for taking the time to make the tutorial and sharing it with us.
I am a little confused at the part where you resize the 3x3 texture, then refill the layers with the base textures, but that is probably a good thing Image I will have to try that out soon.

Hehe I was confused when I was learning it too. Kinda weird stuff, but it sure works =). However, all I had to learn from was this chicken scratching:

"Texture Turorial by the INfamous RuDeE :P
This tutorial is to have textures align in MTM2 using traxx

1)You have a 64x64 texture that you have made or pulled off the web.
a)Open the bloody thing in Photoshop, Resize it to 60x60
b)open your second texture in Photoshop, also resize to 60x60

2)Make a new 180x180 image
a)RGB color
b)2 layers

3)select all on the first 60x60 image
a)fill lower layer with texture

4)select all on the second 60x60 texture
a)fill top layer with the texture.

5)make sure grid preferences are set.
a)go to file/prefrences/guides and grids
b)set the grid to 60x60, and make it whatever color you want :P

ok now for the cutting, i have inclosed a pic of what it sohuld
look like when your done. make sure you cut to the sorner of each line,
you will see what i mean by the pic. (*uhhh actually I had no clue what that pic was showing me... maybe that's why it took me about 5 tries to finally figure out what the heck was goin' on lol*)

After you have cut the stuff all up we will move on to the next step.

6)Change the CANVAS SIZE not image site but CANVAS SIZE
a)resize canvas size to 184x184

7)more filling
a)fill bottom layer with the same 60x60 texture you used
before... nothing changes... just fill right over...

8)ok, grab the selection tool and proceed...
a)hold control and click the top later, it should select the
top later patter, i have another pic. (*What did he say??*)
b)ok fill the selection with the top layer texture again. you will see
the texture look like it moves, well kinda

9)ok now, image mode index color, adabtive, 256... blah blah
you know... then paste it into the composite mode of traxx
and all textures will align."

LOL =)

Take your time H2Oc_gogeta. This stuff doesn't always come easy and it almost never comes fast. To help you, look here to see an outline of the buttons in psp. Also, you can do a web search to find more places with "general" info on using psp. Don't forget, when all else fails, you can always use the help files.
