Ok, I posted earlier a trick dealing with placing models on ground boxes, which involved raising the terrain and placing them there. This is a wonderful trick; unless you are planning to set a mass to the objects. If you use the ground raising trick, the models will fall right through the ground boxes as soon as you drive near/under them. However, if you take the time to set them manually, they will not fall through.

I did a neat trick on ruffly the same idea to get a skeleton to jump out at you. Put it underground and give it a mass. Make sure a small bit is sticking out of the ground.
....._____.........
.....model.........

When you hit the bit sticking up...

....model..........
...................

The model jumps out of the ground!!!
NEAT.

Obeone... 'bout your idea, its good, but this is more of a glitch. Programmers forgot to make ground boxes solid to models. Mass(ed) objects can be rammed through GB walls, making it unrealistic. Anyone know how to prevent this.

Put a model box (20x20x20) in the ground box with no mass

k. How do you get ramps in v-1.2? I read somewhere about stacking default models. Does this work?

Gogeta: it is confusing, even for me ;-) but i had to say it.

Phin: you poked the wrong guy. ;-) But you're right about the value of staying on topic. That's the problem with these UBB all in one thread discussions, it's nice software but I've always disliked that aspect (years before coming here), can't easily and visibly branch off. Not complaining, just sayin.

I'll poke youz all, lol. The good thing about this type of bbs is that a thread can become a document unto itself. A case in point would be the SIT file thread. The bad thing about wwwboard type bbs's is good posts get lost. We try tho, don't we? Keep it cool fellas.

Phinius! Stay on topic! (hehe)
I d/led trackED2 and it came up in a dosprompt window and said it was finished and i had to exit. WHY?
ps this is on topic- Quote Winterkill- Traxx 1.2 does not do ramps. It seems possible that you could write a pod with traxx, extract it and clone it with tracked2 and put in ramps.
