im making a track and when i try it out in mtm2 the models arent positioning right. they are slightly sunk in to the ground and when i drive close to them they popup. what am i doing wrong.

if this has already been covered somewhere please point me in the right direction [i did look around mtm2.com for a while]

You're not doing anything wrong. That's a common problem when making tracks. The reason it happens is the way models are shaped in the game (cube), or if they're off center, and how they're positioned on the ground. When the truck comes near, the collision properties become active and if it's not set perfectly flat on the ground, it pops up even with it. Bin properties can be a funny business. Signs and hay bales are the worse for this, but any model can do it.

You have several options.

- use the S or X keys to move the model up or down to compensate for the in game behaviour
- if it's on the side of a hill, rotating them 90 or 180 degrees can sometimes help
- set them to collide with default weight (zero pounds), it won't move at all then
- set them to no collide, same as above - no movement

yea this is a big prob with the rocks and cacti in ym's dryfalls 2
not oo noticable at high speeds tho.

Prisms by definition are not rectangular. I actually mean cuboid but I've decided that's a dumb word, lol. I might say boxy but that's not much better and it doesn't really describe it properly.

It's a cuboid, a prism, a rectangular prism, a polyhedron and might even be a prismatoid. ;)

i acutally ended up raising the models to the appropiate height so they wouldnt bounce up [;)]
