 Post subject: Problem With Models!!!!
PostPosted: Wed Jul 07, 2004 6:37 am
Can anyone please help me fix up my longest track! I know I left a few bugs after I uploaded it [bump]

Anyways, I fixed it up then It comes up with an error,
saying "unable to open model" :x :x :x and it don't show what model
it's causing! Then I deletes all of my models and it says I got 2 models left in the statistics...... I don't know what to do because it's driving me nuts!!!! Can anyone help me, oh ya you can just cut the bad models out of your list when you have bad models and can't delete them!

Thks, Falco

You may need to over write your pod. After taking out models and over writing your work, close and go back in. Happens with bad models some times. Thats with TRAXX that is. You may need to over write more than once.

Sounds like you have not set windows folder options. Here's some info about how and why you need to do this.

http://cownap.com/~mtmg/errors/lnth.html
http://cownap.com/~mtmg/folderoptions.shtml

Once you're ready, you need to remove all the models from the track, save it, close traxx and reopen it again to begin putting the models back in. It's a pain but it must be done to save your track. Here's a few notes about ways to delete models.

http://cownap.com/~mtmg/traxx/modelbox.shtml

That should get you set back up.

> Thanks, To Grim2004

I thought you and grim were the same person.

> I still can't find it

One is likely the backdrop, the other is probably an object box (like a tree stump) that you just haven't found yet.

> did you download any of my tracks

Yes, but there are problems in most of them. You need to beta test your tracks properly before releasing them.

It will take a while to write up. I'm glad to see you're interested in fixing them. I'll let you know.

Put the pod and the txx file in a zip, then upload it as a 'beta' track.

However, I will do nothing unless you fix the text in your signiture and you stop swearing so much on the forum. That is not acceptable behaviour around here.

work again! I just didn't have the segments
in 1,2,3,4 like the main segments. You're a

Your the man!

What was the question?

And while we're here, you're all over the map. You have posts in track reviews, in traxx, and in general discussion. You talk about everything in everyplace and you switch topics all the time. It's hard to follow what you want and you don't speak clearly. And when people do respond and provide answers, you just repeat yourself.

Here's a tip for you. When you have a question, post a topic about the question and only about the question. Then wait for responses before you post more questions. People are more willing to help you out when they see you can pay attention and respond appropriately before you move on to the next thing.
