I heard recently that it's very hard to place objects in TRAXX, but I found an amazing way to move models.

The [ and ] keys on the keyboard will move the model north and south! It's not shown on Help>>Keyboard. I can't find any keys for east and west movement, but I have found those two.

Anyone else notice this?

The S and X keys do the same thing.

No, actually, S and X move the model up and down. The [ and ] keys move it from the north side of the track to the south side.

Okay, here: [ and ] move the model north and south, and S and X change the model's distance from the ground. There, got it.

Hey, this isn't Thursday! [:P]

Try pressing the 5 key on the keypad and then try that trick. On mine, it looks not quite north and south.

The brackets [ ] just act like s an x here (up/down) [insertrumor] You must have the new version of traxx [/insertrumor]

You mean, 1.4? Yes.

And sometimes I can get away with this computer even when it's not Thursday.

And I'm quite sorry that I forgot to upload Butterfly Creek. The .POD file wouldn't fit on a floppy disk to take over here! But I have a plan.

I'll split the .POD in half. Then I'll take it over on two disks and merge them again. Howzat?

Okay, is a few days soon enough?

P.S. By "a few days," I mean "a few centuries." :)

A few days or a few centuries. Don't worry, it's all good. Just work at your own pace and in your own time. A good end result is what matters, not how fast it happens.

So what's the bottom line?
Are there keys to move objects horizontally or not?
If there are, where are they ? (Afaik [] are not on the same keys on european than US keyboards).

The [ ] keys are lower case near the return key. I have no idea about the euro equivalent. Been through that with both OP and Zoon, lol.

Oh. No, there is no sideways movement in traxx (yet).
