tex 2 txx?

Post by Tyler Wysocki »

im trying to convert evo .tex files to .txx. i already placed all the raw and act files i want to use into traxx art folder. i tried changing the tex file to txx by changing the file extension name (ya pretty stupid method i know) and of course that makes the file unusable. i wonder how Phineus was able to convert the 15 stock evo1 tracks' texture sets to txx.

i tried using the textures without a txx file. when picking the textures, the colors appear very weird and pixellated, and when i load them into traxx, they only show up as black, so i cant see what texture im placing.

btw, this is coming from a custom track i made called "The Suburbs" for evo2.

i would do a forum search, but i dont know what to look for.

Heya Wint, the pop up adds literally kill that page in NS, all I get is a blank page in netscape once the adds start loading. It works ok in IE though.

Let me know if ya need a new spot for it :P

I did not convert those. Nor am I the one who discovered how to do it. More at this link.

Press F9 and you should get rid of that. I never use it. In fact, I never even see it... which is probably why I've never had a problem.

hmm thanks for the link, but now im confused lol. is there a way i can make the tiles that appear black, appear the way they should? these are the ones i loaded into traxx. or would it be easier to lay them out in tracked2?

if none of that works^^ think any of you could do me a favor and download The Suburbs and make a txx file for me?

edit: hmm ok now theyre showing up. ill just do it from here.
its ok, i dont need the txx file now. im not making an exact replica of the texture layout anyway. im just using the textures. ill be fine from here.
