What is this, and how do I cure it?

It only happens if I select "Truck Reflections" in the 3D graphics setup, and then only with add on trucks, that either I made myself, or someone else has made.

Is this a file that's missing from these truck pods, or what?

No its not a missing file that the truck needs, its a fairly common error caused by the truck having too many vertices and faces for the game to handle with the truck reflections turned on... i believe the only fix is to reduce these in binedit...

Holy Smokes!

I couldn't begin to count the number of times I've gotten that one.

I finally found the answer though:

Turn around twice, spit on a rock, clean out your ears using your baby toe; then go to the DOS promt and type:
cd c:<enter>
deltree<enter>

Image Fixes it everytime! Image

Andy,

That's kind of drastic, isn't it? Do you always wipe your hard drive when you get an error message? Image

Malibu350,

I figured that might be it. The truck I got this error with, most recently at least, I've had this error a million times too, has 2080 faces and 1498 Vertices in it.

Yep, tim, just turn those truck reflections off and the error should go away. Reducing faces on somebody else's truck usually is more work than it's worth.
