I wondered if anyone knew how to set the value for how far you can see in the game to more than 16 squares. Now I have a processor ten times the reccomended speed and a much much better graphics card I reckon my PC could handle a lot more of the track at once. It's probably in an INI file somewhere but I can't find it.
Cheers.
(p.s move the 'clear box' button. i clicked it twice by accident instead of posting the topic)

re: /system/monster.ini

These are the only relevent lines I could find. I've been unable to raise them.

[Graphics]
maxD3DTextures=128
visibleTiles=20

Likewise, changing these to 800x600 doesn't work

[Graphics]
gamePIXX=640
gamePIXY=480

And I wonder what this one does.

[Graphics]
backdropFlag=1

>> 'clear box' button.

ROFL. Okay, I'll work on it.

This could be interesting for racing! I'll sure have a look at that too.

LOL I've done it a few times when not paying attention, but I think "most" are used to the location of the icons. My thoughts are unless you completely get rid of the "Clear Box" button, someone will find a way to inadvertently wipe out their post lol. Best advice I can offer: If you accidently tap the "Cear Box" or "Reset" buttons, right-click in the white field and choose "Undo".

Easy. Image

Lol.....I too have been "bitten" by the location of that CLEAR BOX button. Imagine the look on my face after hitting that horrible little graphic and finding that the tutorial I just spent the last 45 minutes writing had vanished, and was not recoverable....

That happened to me here a few months ago, and forced me into a habit of duplicating (copy & paste) all my text into a .TXT file before hitting the forums submit button in ALL forums [Image] .....It took me several weeks to break that habit, but I still do so with large posted submissions, such as tutorials....just in case.....

(LOL! I just went to hit submit, and found my pointer hovering over that dern clearbox icon again.....)

Just a thought, would it be possible to make dense fog appear right at the cut off point of visable tiles. Is it possible to edit weather like that? I've tried but with no luck so far.

Yes. But unfortunately it's called 4x4 Evolution. And it doesn't look pretty =(
