Probably needs to be configured, if you still have the old system go into network connections and find the ip and dns settings/numbers that you need to transfer to the new system. If you cant do that call tech support for your ISP and they should be able to walk you through the settings in a few minutes.

Well...

Q # 2...

Me being the one to always say.. "If it aint broke, I aint fixxed it yet"

This thing has an onboard Geforce 4mx (I know its crappy..) It has the open agp slot waitin on me when I get summore money... but for now this will have to do... my question is .. I'm trying to update the vid drivers... do I use normal detonators for this on board thing? I've never fooled with onboard stuff before, and this will either be decient or a *beep*.

Yes. Just select the appropriate options at the nvidia site and you should be fine. The core graphic chipset is the same whether it's an addon card or onboard.

That's tricky.

Win XP has a remote access feature. I"ve never used it.

Alternately, if the computer is set up as a server with either ssh or telnet, then you'd have to log in as the root user. I don't think this describes you tho.
