So I reinstalled windows 10. Now the problematic multiplayer issue is gone, so it really was down to my system.

Oh but what happens now? I cannot use direct3d anymore...
Every time I try to go into full screen it errors out with the TRI 3D driver. On my Win 8 laptop it's still working fine. I am dangerously close to get sick of all this *stuff* and just return to Windows 7.

On the flipside, this is the problem that monsterextremo was experiencing... if I somehow manage to fix this without reinstalling windows then I might fix his problem too. And everything was ready to be released, meh. Even managed to fix the loading screen (turns out out the maximum size of the RAW/ACT files were declared in a variable manually).

Install DirectX9. It doesn't come with Windows.
