I ran sidewinder canyon and have the following problem:
In two jumps the truck stops when landing on wooden bridges.
This phenomenon seems to be speed and maybe setup dependent. I'm not sure about setup because it may just allow the greater speed. But lifting throttle before jumps helps.

What's the explanation for this? And what's the cure?
Surprisingly I did not find any topic answering this question. Maybe someone can give me a link.

The cause is the evil gound boxes that make up the bridge surfaces... even though the GB's are level with one another if a trucks rear tires land right where two meet then the game acts as if you just hit the side of one bringing you to a complete halt.

That's one of the reasons why I never use ground boxes for bridges.

This happens on Up 'n' Over after the jump. Although that might be a blessing lol.

Hehe yeah, that particular characteristic is a pain, and it happens on lots of tracks, but letting off the gas just before the jump often times helps because your truck lands in a diff spot, missing the seam in between the groundboxes. Also, try dropping it into 2nd gear, then shifting to 3rd just as you hit. :)

That happens all the time to me on Carzy 98.

Happens on alot of tracks, I usually try to let off the gas, and hit the brakes in mid-air, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

It sux, really ruins a good run.
