People complained about the outside banked corner in Mariposa, and so very few people like to drive it. And now you have the same thing, tho perhaps not as extreme, between cp4 and cp5.
That's not gonna change, it's basically one of the main reasons why i did this track.

And i don't expect it for people to like it that much, it's not really easy to drive.

Your texture types are not consistent. So, okay, you want them that way. However, I request you change this FRGSN000.RAW from grass to dirt please.
What do you mean? lol
I checked again, all of them are set on dirt except the snow texture and the one you pointed out. And isn't that grass? That's grass in my oppinion.

Edit: So basically besides the texture part which we still are debating the track is good to go eh? (considering that i will absolutely NOT change that turn)

I don't think you should change it. I was just saying what I was told when I did something like that.

Yeah, right

  • When approaching cp4, drive off the road slightly to the right and the snow depth gives a abrupt change so the truck actually hits texture barriers.
  • Snow boudlers popup all over the place.
  • Several winter tress float while others cut into the terrain.
  • Don't drive near the little church; it's a bobby trap.
  • The safety net before the jump is too low so you can't continue. In fact, after the jump could use a nudge upward too.
  • Why are the ground boxes painted with grass anyway.
  • Driving into the brown boulders is like making pop corn.
  • As you exit the quarry area there is one spot on the left side that should be rock but is grassy. The triangle is a bit glaring. (don't be lazy, fix it).
  • The collision boxes around the diggers don't fit the greatest. Not really that good for the big ball either.
  • Races bitmap should be changed.

Huh?

Several winter tress float while others cut into the terrain.
Well i did fix some of those (mainly them floating ones) but some of them only seem to cut into the terrain because they are further back where the terrain is lower.

And some just do it because of the "facing" thingie.
In fact, after the jump could use a nudge upward too.
No, it's enough that it won't let you fall and let's you continue. I like for whoever to make a mistake to pay for it. The fact that i let him continue is already enough "letting go" from me :)
Races bitmap should be changed.
No :D

Well that's about it that it. Everything else i have changed/fixed/modified.

Question: How do i fix the dern brown boulders from popping up? I forgot how to fix it :) If i just raise them they end up floating... (this is the only thing i haven't touched yet).

So except the brown boulders, is it now ready? :D

Maybe a start/finish light. Maybe the one from farm road.

For the rest, maybe this for the races pic.

New version.

I have added start sign, fixed some boulders, removed some, added boulder replacements, fixed Phin's 2nd favourite problem (no more slippery issues), not fixed Phin's favourite problem ;)

If anyone wants to fix those aztec models (the underside) be my guest, i tried for 3 hours to figure out how to freakin map the face underneath from the .raw texture and have not succeeded.

Now is it ready to go? :)

Im a dragger at heart, but i decided to download it just for fun and I really enjoyed this track. The ground textures look really good in my opinion and they go together well. I saw a few things that I would change but nothing major.

- What is up with the little tree in the middle of the road right after the start? Its set to no collide and thats the only tree on the roadway throughout the whole course.

- The snow that you drive over right after the turn left sign thing. It seems way to deep. When you first drive in it, the camera zooms in and all you can see is the frame of the truck and inside the cab. Then after about a second you see the whole truck up to its tires in snow.

- What is the big silver ball after checkpoint 6 ( I believe it is that one.) Its in the center of when you make a 270 degree turn and jump over the track you had just come from.

- Finally, in the section where all of the trees are being cut down with all of the equipment, some of the textures on the walls look bad. I dont know if you could fix them though because of how big the walls are.

Those are the only things I noticed, and again I am more of a dragger, so feel free to take my comments with a grain of salt. Overall however, I think it is a very good track that I enjoyed driving on.

The tree and the round ball are basically "random" stuff thrown in there :D

I have a bit of a habit of throwing random stuff in my tracks.

The snow thing: Yep, i did that on purpose because i want that change in view.
