rumble beta

Post by Bigfoot_Power_Wheels »

my first rumble is a work in progress, it is called Rumble at the Railyard. i uploaded it as a circuit so you can explore the arena offline.

the platform looks like this:
<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=rumble2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/rumble2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

you can only pass over the center gap when a train is passing through.

<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=rumble1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/rumble1.jpg" border="0" alt="rumble1"></a>

there are 6 other rail lines for display, all with moving trains. all 48 moving objects were used hehe. other stationary cars are used for decoration
(all from mtm1 or by enocell)

<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=rumble3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/rumble3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and thats it. it is impossible to be carried away by the train also, thanks to invisible objects. and invisible walls prevent lagging away for a mile, fun as that is :)

<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=rumble5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/rumble5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

trucks start up on those little platforms and fall upon the summit.

<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=rumble4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/rumble4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

the hole in the platforms are elevators also. music is "the hellion" by judas priest. textures are all by OLD_Mumhra, i think
<a href="http://s350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/?action=view&current=graffitttti.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i350.photobucket.com/albums/q401/BF_Power_Wheels/graffitttti.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

You don't have to do that because you can use gold mode to run it off line. By uploading as circuit, we can't check out the scoring zone.

make sure you either have a high enough score zone, or a null zone above the summit, incase trucks get bounced up, so they dont get beeped over and over, it doesnt have to be far up in the sky, i like to try and picture 4 trucks stacked ontop of eachother, and I like to try to aim that you stop gaining points if your not sitting on the summit (so any lift at all makes u stop gaining points) and you only get buzzed about 4 truck heights above the summit.

I use gold mode to check out all the rumbles that I use in tournaments.
As a coincidence I was just looking at two train rumbles last week, discounted them for tournaments due to the trains interferrence. Will be keen to check yours out.

you better fix that :P i hate that kinda rumbles, it's so annoying and frustrating to get a triple beep for every flip and every bump you get

Some few points:

*Some scoring zones are misplaced, you can make points in the middle rail track and some box corners
*There's no way to go back to the rumble...:?
*Yes, the scoring zone is too low (not as low as the hockey rumble but low) :P
*Since theres no heli to rescue, it will be hard to rumblers to go back after a train hit :P

those gaps in the platform are elevators heh

the train will not carry you away, there is an invisible model box in between the bridged that will dump you off to the side.

but the scoring zone is a work in progress
