MTHc_roc0 is a new name to the mtmg but a long time mtmer who is captain of Team MTH. There was only a brief readme file in the download zip so it was only after seeking out and perusing his site that we find Edmid6 is the team's assistant captain, MTHac_Edmid6, after whom this truck is undoubtedly named.

Edmids, the truck, is exactly the sort of truck we envisioned when the repaint category was devised for the expo. Although we see MTHc_roc0 now has a few trucks to his credit, they are all of recent date, and so hopefully we can count him among a new wave of mtm creators.

The truck itself is based on the stock Carolina Crusher, and for some reason uses the medium detail model as the starting point. There's nothing wrong with this, of course, but when dealing with stock trucks there's usually no threat of exorbitant vertex counts even with the high detail model. In either case, this truck works fine in the game with all features and options turned up to maximum and there's no lag or negative effect whatsoever.

On the tech side, there's a couple interesting things worth noting. First, although the truck body uses the crusher model, the trk file is based on something else - probably bigfoot or another truck with a rollbar. This isn't a huge problem since the truck drives and handles fine. However, the body is smaller than the trk defines with the effect that the center is shifted slightly forward, the axle bars are set too far toward the rear, and the headlights (which interestingly have red beams) do not align with the grille. Also, it might have been better to remove the extra row of roof lights as the truck does not have KC lamps. See the picture below. Mention of the wheels cutting into the fenders was going to be made but inspection of the stock truck finds the same thing happening there... so we certainly can't deduct points on that score. GRA General Lee's axles, on the other hand, are another story. The lower shock brackets cut into the tires slightly, so it might have been an idea to widen the wheel base or find a slightly narrower tire to use. All of these problems are related to the TRK file, so perhaps that could be a hint where MTHc_roc0 might focus some attention for his next projects.

Regarding the paint, basically what has been done was to replace the original red colouring with blue, and put some sky-blue 3D-style Edmid6 text on the sides and back, with the back being slightly off center. There are still some scraps of red left primarily on the undercarriage textures, but otherwise it's a pretty clean and attractive job.

Lastly, MTHc_roc0 has included an enthusiastic custom sound file so that we might all get a welcome break from our old pal Army Armstrong.

Overall, Edmids is well done. Welcome to the mtmg and the world of truck making. We hope to see more from you.
