I've been thinking about trucks lately, and finally I've come up with Insanty Kar. Before, I thought of Krazy Kar, but Army Armstrong can't say it but he can say "No one is safe from the insanity now!" and "I've heard of amphibious cars, but this is ridiculous!"

By the way, ZOtm_BigDOGGe, are there any bits of commentary with "crazy" as a word in your "future truck names" folder? I've heard you have one :) .

I know this isn't exactly what you're asking, but cpod allows you to preview sound files easily, while they're still in the pod. If you open up sound.pod you'll find all sorts of things not heard in the game.

No, it would appear that Army didn't say "crazy" in any of the game wavs...

If you don't require it being Army's voice, then you can use this manufactured Wav file I created using TEXTSOUND (a text-to-speech program).

http://mtm2.com/~bigdogge/download/crazycar.wav

It's already in the correct format... 8-bit mono 11khz.

The truck's nearly done.

I meant for it to be a standard M/T, but I made a "slight error" and it wound up as an enormous version of those 4x4 pulling trucks. You know, with the big extra bumper infront that pull 50,000-pound sleds.

One more thing: I still need to give it the sound files and proper axle bar/driveshaft postions in.

I'll be uploading it on Friday.

Sometimes I'm lazy... Sorry.

I need to rebuild the .Pod files with the sounds and do other editing. I'll be uploading it - now, this is FINAL - on Christmas Eve.

Promise.

I dunno what makes me slow like this.

When it comes to stuff like this, I admit... I'm lazy, lousy, dumb, stupid, totally unparanoid, and everything else.

Oh, well... IK has been uploaded.

This is your best truck so far Tarres, nice job all around. Just one thing tho, The body is way off the mtm2 scale at 28 feet long compared to the stock trucks at around 18 feet... it looks kinda odd and doesn't fit normal tracks... but that's OK I suppose if someone want's to drive a giant truck. :)

Also in your read me you mention that you're going to upload another version because you forgot to apply the .wav file in this one... in the future please don't upload something unless it's finished.

With 14 minutes of comentary and sound effects mtm2's sound archive you can find lots of useful stuff. I have used lightning sound effects an d otrher stuff from mtm2 in school plays hehe.

Army seems to use ridiculous more than crazy -i cant find any effects with crazy.
he says .... oh wait!
!
(i've been listening to the sounds while i was writing this. )
Sound effect 502 of 564
Track_03.wav "... is tearing up this CRAZY 8."

I need some sounds of Army saying all numbers from 1 to 41. I have 1 (very commonly used in the .wav files), 2 (also used a lot), 8 (in the file that ch_2005 mentioned), and 17, which has a file all of its own. :?

BigDOGGe, that text-to-speech program, if you use samples of Army can you make him say anything?

No, it doesn't sample voices....It has built in voices, and none sound like Army....

You can get the trial version of textsound 2.0 at this site:
http://www.bytecool.com/

The demo let's you creat lots of wav files before it expires....once I make one, I load the new wav file into COOL EDIT 96 to increase it's amplitude (and thus increase it's volume)
