I can help you out with a pic from any angle you'd like (I just happen to have a chrome monster truck wheel with tire, and a digital camera Image) but I don't have it here at work, its at home and I have some plans for later on tonite so the soonest I can post it will be tomorrow.

What am I doing with a wheel & tire? well I built my first truck in 1989 (Surf City Slammer) and another in '91 (Adrenaline) the second one I let my wife drive after she begged me endlessly, I finally gave in and well... she hit the first set of cars off center which launched the truck sideways it came down hard on the right rear tire which then blew out sending the truck flipping, after it came to rest it was pretty much a total loss except for a couple tires and the motor which I kept for spare parts for the other truck but never did use them because shortly after that I got out of R/C racing it just got too expensive to stay competative.
Image guess I should have mentioned the trucks scale in my earlier post Image

Now the reason for no pictures, I have a box of spare parts some where and after searching all weekend I haven't been able to find them Image but I will get something even if I have to go to the local hobby store and pick up some more... if you go to bigfoots site (bigfoot4x4.com) and take a look at the bigfoot 1 truck the wheels are identical to those.

sorry for the delay RF

ROFLOLMAO!!!!

I too learned not to give the control of my high priced pan car to the sun shine of my life. Theres nothing like the site of my brand new speed control flying out of the body, after she hit a crub straight on doing 40 or so, & hearing it make that sickening "plunk" sound as it landed in the lake.

Well you select all the faces you want to map the texture to (f) and go to Groups> Map face group to texture...
From there it's pretty simple. Just line up the outlines of the faces with the texture and OK it. use the flip/rotate buttons to make the texture face the right way.

You may never get a satisfying Chrome wheel....

A chrome wheel is basically an odd-shaped mirror....when the wheel rotates, the reflection stays put...

On all the "chrome" wheels I 've seen in MTM2, the reflection goes "round 'n round"...as do shadows and such on wheels mapped from photos....

Shades of gray/white/black may be the best you can do with this game...

MALIBU350, I was about to scold you for not informing us of your "monster truck" experience, until I read your latest post (RC?!!)...sneaky! LMAO!

*--> here's something I wrote on mapping a hood with BinEdit(works on other sections of a model too). it's posted at Vales...I hope it helps...
