Act files in general (download links need fixin')

Better download links

I think you'd like FlyRawGui

Did you uninstall, and then restart your puter?

If that doesn't help get on your messenger and I can send you the files it's missing if that is the case.

Uninstalling it should get rid of everything, it has for me before. I still use the old school way of making trucks myself, I still use the texture replacer, and all that stuff, so if you wanna try to work it out, I can try and pinpoint the problem.

Sounds like a buggered-up registry. I hate when that happens. I have tried utilities that remove such erroneous listings in the add/remove programs list, but they always seem to create more errors than they fix. Maybe that's just me.

This microsoft page may have an answer for you.

Is it giving you an error message or anything?, or tell me what it does when it tries to start.

All the info you can give, will help us solve it faster. A step by step description would be great.

Phineus, its the version that doesnt expire. You put a link for me a while back. 4.12 PSP.

Kevin, no error message. When I go to open it it just shows the silver box for starting the program for a half a second but not the black out line that is normally there, then disappears. Shows on the bottom of the page{tool bar area}but cant do any thing with it.

If you are on windows xp you might trying running it in win9x mode (right click the exe and select properties). Or, you might try psp5 just for the sake of seeing if it runs.

Hey Phineus, the 5 works. How long is it good for if you know? And why does it work and the other doesnt. Crazy stuff.

It's not changed to psp5. It's just the file associations. What program do you want to open them with?

In psp, look on the menu > file > preferences > file associations. You can set it any way you want.

It says 30 days but it's really longer...

The program that normally opens bmp's etc. But I dont know what program that would be. To be honest I have NO clue how all that works.
I have gone back and unchecked ever thing, but the format of say a BMP does not look the same as normal, it does not open so you can see the image or picture. Its ask for PSP5 ONLY.

If you have Win XP, then the default was the WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER.

try this:

Open a folder and select FOLDER OPTIONS from the TOOLS menu...

Image

Next, select the FILE TYPES tab and choose the extension...In this case, BMP...

Image

Finally, click the CHANGE button and choose the utility you wish to be associated with that file type....

Image

Repeat the above steps for all the file types you wish to change program associations with.

This has worked for me for everything except Adobe...for some reason, that program would not let me alter the association (or simply ignored what Windows was set to).
