can someone help me paint a truck ive recently built i cant seem to get it to look right when i try

im trying to go with a marine themed truck but when i try to put something on it it looks horrible and i cant make the new image with the body to test it like that i made that with the stock paint just putting that stuff on it

If you try and change the paint you first need to understand how the truck is mapped to the textures it uses. Most if not all trucks use more than one texture and each part of the truck uses a specific area of a texture. To fix where it's "messed up" you need to remap it or carefully repaint exactly where it is already mapped.

ive tried to follow all of them that i have found but cant seem to follow them or i mess up somewhere during it. and i get frustrated at it which dont help any.
