When you did the texturing, how did you mask it?

Honestly alot of it is like cale said. It's all layering. Pretty much for the flames what i did is just created a new raster layer then painted a couple lines with the paint brush about 13 pixels wide to start then just gradually went smaller pixel size with the paint brush and just used the smudge tool and went to town on it "carefully" untill it just looked right. Simple rule to remember is that if you want 2 different colors blended together just paint the darker color first then the lighter color on top of it. Now if you want to go the route of realistic flames of a same color it's like i desribed above but you want to create a new raster layer before you use the paint brush. Now mind you the sample images below are just a 15 min throw-together for examples sake of the layer on layer method. Just have to remember when your creating flames the darker colors like the deep reds i used are going to be your main colors and the pastels like the yellow and bright orange i used are going to be your "accent" colors. Another thing about when using a new layer for everything is the layer "order" which goes from your first layer which is going to be your bottom layer under everything to layer "x" wich is going to be your top layer. Also alot of the tools i use for masking are the selection tools. Mainly the shape selection and the magic wand.

I must appologize to you anarchy...I didnt think the paint would come out as good as it did...good job...Although i think you should widen the body a tad...cant wait to see what you got in mindd for the rest of it.

No need to apologize king. I actually pride myself on making the seemingly impossible a reality. I dunno why but it's always been my niche. The more challenging and complex something is the more i want to do it. Which btw i DID widen the body by 30 points on each side. As for progress... a couple hours total time into the project and here's the frame... It's only about 40% done atm (Still got alot of detail work on the cross bars and what-not.)

I know. I'm doing the whole frame though cause i'm going to be releasing my work to the scrapyards after i release the truck. That and i'm thinking about releasing 2 versions of it as well. 1 with the tinted windows and maby a 2nd version with transparent windows.

Well new update...

Image

So far the cab is 99.99% done, the top part of the rear of the frame is 100% done except for the x-up's that hold the radiator in place on the shock towers and add a wheelie bar!!! and to add to all your delights that is BigDoggE's animated Mopar to add to realism... the engine block (just like my actual concept truck is a custom cast 575 c.i. mopar Big Block Blown and Injected running at around 2500 h.p.!) But unlike the raminator/rammunition trucks the pipes are a 90 degree downward bend. Also went with a short x-fer case seeing as how the custers are going to be extended to the bottom rail wich should give a pretty decent amount of travel. Well thats about all for now so let me know what you guys think of it thus far. cheers @
