I've already answered this on the dragger's forum.

Unfortunately, you'll have to take any models out, save the txx, close traxx, reopen traxx, then put the models back in. But once done, you won't have to do it again.

doesnt quite work...

Yes it does work.

we have a misunderstanding on this man. you were referring to one thing, i thought you were referring to something else and it didnt work because of another, unrelated problem which i figured out after that. again sorry...

v1.5 "should" fix the file extension problem.

When I said delete them, I meant remove them from the track. You do not have to delete them from the hard drive. Also, just to be perfectly clear, you have to put all the files in the proper folder. For example

ACT and RAW files go int he ART folder.
BIN files go in the MODELS folder.

When the files are in the wrong place, you can expect things to go wrong.

And yes, don't put them in any old ART and MODELS folders. They have to be in the ones you set in Traxx options.

weird thing is...it only affected the malibu models... *slaps head* as in i had the textures in the folder set in options but not the models...yet half the models still worked, and the ones that didnt were specific to one website... thats just weird...not to mention confusing.... so you can see where i was lost... but all fixed now... thanks
