The BINedit Resource - Advanced Tutorial release (or what I've been doing for the past year-and-a-bit)

If you've checked my truck site within the past fortnight, you would have seen something very unusual - I actually released a truck (two, in fact) for the first time in over a year.

Image

Said truck - an Australian Ford Falcon ute - is the vehicle I have been building from scratch and documenting for the Advanced Tutorial of my BINedit Resource site. Neither truck nor tutorial are 100% complete, and it may take me some more months yet before they are truly finished; which is why I've decided to post what has been done at this stage (still a significant amount - some 80%+) because, as Phineus said in convincing me, "I just hate to think all that work not find some use".

At the moment, the tutorial covers my construction of a model of the AU Falcon ute, plus the modifications of said model to produce the Tickford-tuned AU XR8 (pictured here) and part of the modification process for the AU Series-II XR8 (not yet complete).

The layout is still under review (at the moment the pages are long and could probably stand being split up), but the content is pretty much final save for tying off a few ends - and, of course, doing the rest of it. So, please take a look, and don't hesitate to give me your thoughts on how it looks at this stage.

To check it out for yourself, head over to the BINedit Resource and look for the link to the Advanced Tutorial Image

Cheers,

Drive2Survive

PS. Big thanks must go out to Phineus for all the help he's given and continues to give! I appreciate it mate!

I know there's been some response in other forums but I couldn't let this pass without a word. Drive2Survive is indeed mtm's finest truck making guru, and his work with binedit is unsurpassed. If you're new to truck making, be sure to check out 'all' of drive2survive's work. Even if you're a season'd pro, this new section is absolutely amazing. Be sure to have a look anyway as d2s includes many new tips and tricks. It's long and detailed so be sure to pull up a chair, top up your glass with your favorite beverage and take your time. Your time will be rewarded. For d2s, mtm owes you a debt of gratitude for all your fine work and the countless hours you've put in to your many help projects. Excellent work! Thanks for all you've done (and hopefully will continue to do). Hats off to you, Mate.

Phineus

The tutorial is truly amazing, a brilliant piece of work that I hope will find it's audience. Being so detailed and all, I'd imagine it would be useful even for non-Binedit users. Well done sir, and don't sit on the rest of it too long, even with a low polish I'm sure it will shine. As for your truck body, well it's a piece... well, I mean to say it's a masterpiece! Image

Without Question ... truely the best

I have been using this man's work since I started building trucks and every time I turn to his various tutorials I find something new to help me over another hump.

Thank You !!!
