Slayer wrote:anyone have any homemade plans to removing plantar warts? I have one giant one, I got rid of the others with the duct tape trick, but this one refuses to die, freezing it didnt work, burning it didn't work (I stuck a burning stick in i and held it there for 2 minutes, then my skin caught fire)

Any other ideas?

It's a fact that they need oxygen to survive so it's just a simple matter of suffocating the little buggars which is what duct tape does. You might try black electrical tape instead tho, just make sure you clean and dry the area real well before applying for maximum adhesion and change it daily. It may take up to a month but sooner or later the epidermal fungae will take it's last breath, die, and fall off. :)

Another possible remedy is soaking in salt water. When I was about 10 years old I had like 50 on my toes. One summer my parents rented a cottage on the beach here in SoCal for a two week vacation and I was in the water everyday from sun up til sun down. When we got home every single one was gone and never came back. Maybe it was the salt water or maybe I just drowned the bastards. :)
