Mine got delivered saturday. My personal opinion is that it is a very good game, however I have two questions for anyone else who has the PC version: (1) Why can't I use the boost button? and (2) Is there rear steering in the PC version also, because if there is, I can't find it. If ANYONE could help me that would be great
As for the game, in my opinion, it is way better than Maximum Destruction and Masters of Metal, but still no MTM2.
Almost forgot, it has split screen multiplayer for more than one person on the same computer, but no online play. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, sorry guys.
Someone needs to come out with a true-to-life monster truck simulator game, arcade games are fun, but monster jam needs a good sim. I don't get it, they can come out with a sim that shows you how to fly a 737 into a building, but not to see what driving a real monster truck is like

...... i'd rather have that, then some crappy game that lets you fly 90 feet in the air, or has a freaking jet in the middle of a track............ yeah i'd go for a real game not an arcade game if i were them or someone else.. trying to attempt a Monster truck game.Slayer wrote:because real monster trucks would be really boring, crush cars, then run out of gastake a jump, break ur suspension, think how slow they are, and how often they break.

historically racing sims have never worked out that well. some have of course, but most only work for their arcade elements.
a monster truck game of pure drag racing would be pretty boring for most people, some draggers would like it but it would be such a small market it wouldn't work too well. Now lets add to it how slow monster trucks are, and how fragile. It would just be very boring game, play it once, maybe even beat it once, then never again.

The game they just made didn't do much for anyone.. so i think its time for a dang SIM... we have 10 arcade MJ games why not a sim........ we just want something real.Slayer wrote:historically racing sims have never worked out that well. some have of course, but most only work for their arcade elements.

Mine came yesterday. I didn't get much time to play w/ it, but I couldn't even find the split screen multiplayer much less online play. AvengerFan: Boost works for me via the left ctrl key. My joystick worked w/ the exception of throttle/brake - didn't have time to sort that out. Regardless, w/o multiplayer I doubt I'll be playing it much. Its a shame, the physics are actually decent compared to most of the newer games I've tried. A lot better than 4x4evo IMO. I guess MTM2 is just that good that its hard to replace

Question: Why is it that I can only play mine for so long before my computer pauses and completely reboots out of nowhere? I can't even get past the first eliminator on the coastal series because it always reboots on me. AAHH!
That is also what i meant about the boost (should've clarified a little better, sorry), it works on the outdoor circuits, but on racing or freestyle (where i need it) i can't because it takes me out of it. If anyone could help me out, or ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
