Practice and patience. Some of these guys have prior experiance with photoshop or PSP from classes at school or just by teaching themselves. Some hand paint everything while others use high resolution photos and surgecly transplant them onto the truck. I believe that Cale did the later of the two for most of the base work on the raptor...(Correct me if Im wrong)anarchyxf36 wrote:man how do you get the bodies so detailed? meaning how do you get it to look so realistic? I'm trying to figure out how to make a 2010 ram single cab and cant figure out how to get the detail right. any tips?

You mostly have it. I use photos/manufacturer renders of the trucks wherever I can, and then custom make the rest ("hand paint" isn't the right word, I use the tools in the program to do it). The reflections are an update of an old technique I learned from the master, Slick, for shading. I use both shading and reflections to get the effect I want, especially on black trucks like The Ride.kingkrunch wrote:Practice and patience. And, Kmaster, it's all in Paint Shop Pro 9.
If anyone is interested in how I make stuff, I made a tutorial years ago that details the shading: http://cownap.com/~mtmg/trucks/psp7.html
...and a thread on the reflections: viewtopic.php?t=5209
What are the dimensions on that Raptor body?
