Introducing the SS Project
Re: Introducing the SS Project
I really should have learned how to model. (could have used it for my tracks)
Re: Introducing the SS Project
Eh, it's never too late to learn
Re: Introducing the SS Project
I think the tires are too clean and bright, they look fake (well, they are but still)
The grey is too bright, you wouldn't normally see the treads like that. They should be dirty of course, and cut or worn down. Not pristine and clean.
I kind of prefer the ones you used here

It's a start...

Anyone wanna make a Dodge?

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Tweaked the logo so it's more correct, and added additional graphics, will try to map the rest of the body over the next couple of weeks. Here's a comparison shot with the stock MTM2 Carolina Crusher...no comment ;-)

Re: Introducing the SS Project
I've been wanting to start doing modelling but I haven't had the time yet.
Re: Introducing the SS Project
Here's a hint, I use SketchUp 8 with an OBJ exporter extension...simplifies things a bunch!
Re: Introducing the SS Project
I can't wait to see the rest
Re: Introducing the SS Project
Oh wow I just saw this thread now Cale these are amazing I love this whole concept!! I'm impressed I can
t wait to see more!

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Can't wait to see the others... Especially Wildfoot
Re: Introducing the SS Project
Still need to finish texturing Crusher, but in the meantime...

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Wow. Much Dodge. Such Ram. Many Bear Foot.

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Very well done!! The tires look impressive too. Now if only I can find a setup package to install all the latest and greatest work.

Betrayal88: "You know Matty, that Dodge is making me itch"
Matt: "Shut up Betrayal, I killed you"
Betrayal88: "You can't kill me, I AM YOU!
Matt: "I can fight this..you can't torture me forever..I left it all behind. Binedit, texture mapping till 2am, searching for the true meaning of "Doing it in the air"..it's the past."
Betrayal88: "I AM FOREVER...and that dodge screams one thing.......RAMPAGE!!!"

Hah, if only I could get around to mapping it!
Re: Introducing the SS Project
B-b-b-b-b-b-bad...

Closed the hood file before I saved it...d'oh! Going to re-work it nicer...

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Quick scaling test after a few more edits...next step is tidying up the frame and getting it to Digger 7's proportions before remapping it. More tedious than difficult.

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Now we're getting somewhere...

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Mapping: F that S (a novel, by Cale)

Re: Introducing the SS Project
Got done with another project elsewhere so jumping back on this for a time. Would like to have the MTM1 trucks done up by October, which is the game's 20th anniversary.
