A good tournament today on Guitar Bill's track Vulture Peak, a classic track and one which seemed to give a few racers a real challenge.
Maniac and Alpha neck and neck on points today with Malibu, Evil, Mumhra and Phineus never far behind. A good showing today from one of the rumblers of mtm2 MTHro_Hammer, nice racing, hope you will join us again soon.
Our top 3 today after a run off was:
1st: RIP_Maniac
2nd: RIP_Alpha
3rd: OLD_LoL_Evil
After run-off OLD_mumhra was 4th and Malibu 5th.

Nice run Ron.....
I was on a road trip to portage to go snowmoviling for the weekend, i hit the 7 foot tall reeds real good, i drove thru them for about 500 feet before i managed to get out of them, so that corner is far shallower now heh.
I got no clue when the next time i can make one of the tournies again. I hope soon but i also hope not cause if its soon, then that means winter over and that would suck heh.
Our shop kept our summer hours far into december so maybe we will keep our winter hours (9:00 AM till 12:00 noon) well into May (snow usually gone by mid or late April, except in 1997 when we got a blizard mid April and it caused the flood of the centry)

The other racers told me things like they were on the edge of their seat the whole tourney, or they were shaking and jumpy, etc. Me, I thought the furnace was broken because I was cold and shivering for most of the afternoon. Later, I turned up the thermostat but found myself still quivering even after the place warmed up. LOL, must've been some exciting race, eh? to be hung over that long afterward. There was some very close, intense match ups every round. I added a replay to the download that shows Evil and JM in a photo finish. It just don't get any closer than that.

LOL Mal beat me too it this week.
Great work Phineus, congratulations
...............
Some great racing and some very close points indeed. Right up to the very last round it was anyone's tournament.
Maniac was having another great tournament Until the last round, when she drew room 1 with the two OLD teammates, Mumhra and Evil, the result of this race saw a 1, 2 to Mumhra and Evil. This result then certainly made the points more interesting and left Mumhra and Maniac on equal points securing a run-off placing for them both. When room 2, consisting of JM, Scrooch and Phineus cross the finish line, their results were bound to impact the pointscore and they did. Phineus cross the line first, followed by Scrooch and JM. Phineus' win in that round secured his spot as well in the top 3.
An exciting run-off then took place between Phineus, Maniac and Mumhra with them finishing in that order.
Congratulations to the top 3 today:
1st: _Phineus__
2nd: RIP_Maniac
3rd: OLD_mumhra
Rounds wins today also went to RIP_Alpha, SLO_SCATTER, RIP_JM and SLO_Scrooch.

Well that's just the problem scatter. Now i have time to attend these trny's. In summer time i have far less time and then i won't be able to race every single tournament. Maybe i'll be working, maybe i'm out visiting some mx or some car racing somewhere but i will miss some trny's. That's why i need as many points as possible now
I love motorsports, because for soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, ... you only need 1 ball

Malibu350 wrote:[imho] All they say about Dr Scrotes Volcano is true about it being a difficult track, some said they hate it. I hated it too for a time. But in the end it became my favorite GB track. Bill was a complex man and this track is hard proof of that. He didn't make DSV to p-iss people off. He made it to push the limits of his own racing abilities, his own derranged concept of a hard mtm race track, and dastardly traxx experiments. Some said that a 5:37 or better was not to be taken seriously, that kind of time was not realistic. That all changed when they found the line Bill layed out for those willing to work/look for it. [/imho]
ditto
