4 minute Rally
100% stock textures
1500/1700 med, soft pro recommended
this was my 1st track which begins in a valley and winds its way through some moutains and a mine. also there is an evil knieval part i put in just for fun...
there are four different ways to get from cp4 to cp5 but beware the faster the cut the more dangerous can you find them all
all around the track there are roads to explore if you like, but they are slow roads meant for four wheelin..

Siberia Creek - Advance/Rookie rally
reprint of the contest review:
An excellent track with lots to offer - it's possible to spend hours driving the off-road parts. On-road, some difficult jumps and a fast line through the turns. The alternate routes are fun to try, just the thing for getting around someone you are having trouble passing. There are some texture match-up errors here. The course is well designed, though, with some very nice sections. Road surface is good all round. But the Eval Knieval bus jump can leave debris lying around that will make three or four laps troublesome (or hilarious if you have a sense of humor). The "cow humping truck" model is cool! Overall, great work. Definitely worth the download.

Siberia Creek -Street Tire version-
http://cownap.com/~malibu350/images/mtmgbbs/SCmm.gif
same track as the original except for...
1- the terrains grip depth was increased to 15 for ST (Street/Small Tires) vehicles
2- many tree's were replaced with properly centered SC/bins
3- several hundred ground boxes were removed
4- some new off track roads and a mud bog were added for the explorer types
5- a few busses at the end of the 'jump' are now set to complex
6- all but one of the bridges have been replaced with models
7- portions of the mine tunnels ceiling have been replaced with models
8- added some stock music
9- updated some billboards
I was going to replace a lot of the mis-matched textures but decided not to, it is what it is, and that's a beginners track...

it's nothin real special mr.J, same track, it's just been retrofitted for mtm2's street sized tire trucks (ST's), normaly I'll just reset the ground texture depth so the st trucks don't appear to 'float' and replace geound box bridges with models for the same reason but in this case I went a bit further to make it more compatable for 4x4 evo, per request.
I'm currently working on rock ridge and should have it finished and up at my site tomorrow, then the rest will follow.
the ST trucks handle pretty squirly at first (some handle much better than others) in comparrison to the big trucks but ST's open the door to a vast amount of more truck/car creativity as well as broadening the overall limits of the game in general so i'm gonna supporrt it anyway i can.
side note... Cope made mention of how he hated rock ridge early on in his racing because of its difficulty, at the time I made it I didn't think it was 'that' hard although I did make a conscious effort not to make it 'too' easy since at the time I put it together the common most track complaint was that the majority out were too easy and not challenging enough for the more experienced racer.
my point, I haven't run this track in probably two years and cannot even get a semi decent lap lol. I used to get 2:10's & 20's consistantly but my rusty fingers can't even manage better than 30's & 40's now... lol looks as though i've gone full circle, from green to rusted :o) |
