>>huh?<<

I think I've been listening to too much Howard Stern.. "Hot Dogs" prompted thoughts of bestiality!

Just Jokin' Psyco Image

Malibu, can you e-mail your Earthlink member name? I signed up with them tonight and could've got you a free month if I knew that info. If you send me I'll call 'em up on their toll-free and let them know I based my decision on your reccommendation. I have only signed up for the modem connection for now, but intend to get the DSL if I'm satisfied with the service and prices - it was outta desperation more than anything 'cos I could get NO net connection via AT&T tonight - and I had the Earthink cd sitting in front of me, so I thought "well, let someone get some benefit (I'm gettin' a free digital camera for subscribing) so why not spread the wealth huh? Drop me a mail man and earn $20 worth of free net access. My thoughts about Earthlink so far.... Their License agreement was a little "long winded" and ambiguitous (Standard legalese policy in the States to cover yer *beep* I assume)... but overall the deal looks good. Less than $20 for full net access and they have a good rep for being one of the most reliable providers. Only 6Megs personal homepage provision... but so what? There are plenty of freebies out there who'll give ya 50Megs for the price of an advert (XDrive for one).
Anyway pal, I'm gonna spend the next couple hours reading all the posts that I couldn't get to see today, go to AT&T site and cancel my account and investigate Earthlink a little more.
Bye for now

Thanks MC, all you need to give them is my e-mail, richathr@earthlink.net

earthlink has worked real well for me, i sure hope its the same for you,
they have about 30 available dial up numbers that i can choose from in my area, i had to sort though them untill i found one that consistantly gives me a 51k connection every time, you may need to do the same but once you do your set... unfortunatly in some area's they do not offer as many dial up #'s, like for instance i had recommended earthlink to GyverX™ a while back and he had nothing but problems due to the fact he had only one number available to dial up, can you say "major congestion" but then he lives in Tennessee and EL is based in southern California which is where i live and as i recall you live in CA too ?, anyway you can go here to see whats available in your area..

thanks again and good luck ya bloke Image

'K Mal,

Took care of that this morning - you should be getting a free month. Actually I'm in Salem OR - same timezone, just a little further up the coast. There are 3 local #'s to connect to Earthlink here (as opposed to AT&T's single - always unavailable one) so I'm at least 3 times better off! So now I can get on with fixing my 'pute (no connect = no downloads)... I'll post a page on my site to illustrate this pretty soon so you'll see what I mean!

Interesting site
http://www.dslreports.com/

btw, I'll be switching again in the not too distant future. Seems there are as many problems with dsl as there are with 56k - only you find them faster, lol.
