ugh controller problem!

Post by TR2 »

Well... it's happened again, Monster Truck Madness 2 will not acknowledge my controller, and therefore wont let me calibrate it (Microsoft Precision Racing Wheel). When I go to calibrate I see the green bar flashing, I think its a Windows XP compatibility problem... Anyway its happend twice before and I was able to fix it buy uninstalling/reinstalling the game and wheel respectively. Even rightclicking the monster.exe to "Windows2000 compatibility". This time however the old tricks dont seem to work, I've already reinstalled them a bunch of times... other games will work with the wheel (motocross madness2 & midtown madness 2) but monster truck 2 keeps rejecting it. Any help would be much appreciated, this is really frustrating.... (btw if this helps, this problem seems to happen when I return to the game after putting the computer on standby... I definitely wont be using that feature again...)

What does game controllers in the control panel say? I'm not up much on this stuff, and I've never had a problem except once when the monster.ini was read only.

Well in control panel its working great, calibrated and everything, Status OK, so I've pretty much narrowed it down to something I have to change with the game... what this is I have no clue, in the past I had just kept reinstalling and uninstalling it a bunch of times until something finally gave... and it started workin, but this time not so lucky, I'll keep tryin though

(Btw cool board I just started checkin it out about a week ago, good to see some old-school racers getting back into the game,if ever anyone wants a game zm me (RIP_Shaggy), I could use some lessons hehe)
