Error Message in MTM 1
How can I fix a problem stating, "unable to open VGA pallete" when I run MTM 1. Funny thing about this is that it worked perfectly until i restarted my comp, which is when this problem happened.

Hey everyone, check this out!
Psycho, check this out. It states what would have been one of my two guesses, that a pod (startup.pod) might be corrupt, startup.pod contains the vga.* files, one of which is a palette. My other guess would relate to the switching of video modes, if that were a problem and the game wouldn't even start you might try changing the "useDirect3D" value in the moster.ini, 0 for software and 1 for hardware rendering.

MTM1 likes to have 256 colours and can error out if your colour depth doesn't match, this is especially true for Windows XP machines and especially true for NVidia drivers which tend to do their best to add more colour, anti alias, etc. I have had a similar error on my Windows 95 when I had it to 32 bit colour 1024 x 768 Res, it wouldn't let the game load until I dropped it to 24 bit. A theory is the alpha channel that exists in 32 bit mode
