Online racing problem
Online racing problem
i race with people sometimes and lately everytime i connect to the game its fine, but when im ready to race, like for a league, everyone else goes racin and im left at the multi-player screen. i click ready and im still there. so everyone has to go back to the multi-player screen so i can join. i dunno what could be wrong. i dont want this to happen when the league im in starts up on wednesday.

here's a question: when i hit go/ready, whether it's online or offline, the screen w/monster patrol that's like an outline of the truck stays on my screen for like 20 seconds before the load screen with firestone wilderness comes up. is there a problem? it never did that on any of my old computers, just this one. what i'm worried about is if it holds the other people up too.
also, when i watch a replay of any truck or track, if i go to chase 1/2 or any movable cameras, when i try to rotate the camera, the game freezes. any suggestions (other than "don't move the camera")?

monsters are my life.
i do restart it most of the time. i do that like 2 to 3 times actually. it works sometimes but a couple of times it didnt. i dont know if this has to do with anything but why does my screen for the multi-player for Latency on top say Local and everyones doesnt say anything but when it comes race time, everyone has a bar there looking like it is loadind and my Latency still says local. it does that everytime and thats when usually i dont get in the race.
carcrusher,
I've heard of the screen that stays up for a long while but don't know what causes it. And the replay is a new one. Haven't heard of that one before. Sorry I can't be more help.
kpayne89,
I don't know for sure, but your problem might have something to do with a firewall or router. Do you have either of those? If you have a firewall, just turn it off while playing online, then turn it back on when you're done. If you have a router, you should set your computer to DMZ host. If you don't know how to do that, you should ask whoever set up your computer for help. It has to do with network configuration and it's a bit technical.

That sounds similar to the problem I used to have, back when I did my truck shots from the replay screen. If I paused the replay and then clicked a rotate button, the button would never 'unclick' and I'd be stuck with the camera cycling around and around the truck. It was fine as long as I didn't pause the replay before moving the camera.carcrusher wrote:when i watch a replay of any truck or track, if i go to chase 1/2 or any movable cameras, when i try to rotate the camera, the game freezes. any suggestions (other than "don't move the camera")?
Is that what's happening to you? You didn't mention whether you paused the replay or not...

i found out why i wasnt in the race with everyone else. i looked at the Monster Manual in the game and i looked up how to do multi-player mode. it says that when everyone says there ready, the host clicks ready and the game starts. im pretty sure when i race often, the host pushes the ready button before me and the race starts. i think thats what the problem is. does that sound right?

man, i thought i had the problem down
. well, i can race, it just takes me 2 to 3 times to try. i checked my firewall and it was off. so it has to be my router, but i dont really want to mess with that. and g8torsbizktai20, i still want to race one more time before Wed. i want to see if this problems still goin on. if you can just IM me or i will IM u if i can get you.
