Truck Mounting Problems
Truck Mounting Problems
I've just downloaded a new truck and now I can't get it to work in the game. When I mount the pod and try to start the game, I get the same box that you get when you try to use a bad truck(You know, one thats missing a model texture, ect.) please help a.s.a.p..
I've had this problem with some of the other trucks I've downloaded. I've been wondering how to fix this for a while...

If he has a wrong number of mounted PODs, the game won't run, and he couldn't be able to see any error message, so that's not the problemWarren262 wrote:Are you using PodIt (or something else) to mount pods or are you doing it manually? If you mount it manually you have to change the number at the top (to the number of pods you have).
Well, I never would have thought the game crashing would be a good thing! When it crashed, it un-mounted every single pod, so after I re-mounted all of the necessary pods, and a few more, I tried it again and it worked. The case is not the same for the others though
Don't ask which ones 'cause I couldn't tell ya'. I still wanna' know how to fix this without repeating the scenario above.
The most common cause for truck errors is a missing raw file. The truck will not show up in the preview window and if you try and launch the game you get the error message.
To fix the problem pod you need to recompile it making sure that all nesesary files are in it. Or just place the missing file in your mtm2 directory as a loose file, mtm2 can pull it from there.
The error message itself will often times tell you which file is missing... and a hint on finding the correct one try looking in other pods by the same truck builder.
Chances are that one of newer pods you mounted had the missing file in it that mtm was looking for, enabling the error truck to work.I re-mounted all of the necessary pods, and a few more

I will check that out.PM Customs wrote: The truck is the Gran Tourismo Race MT by XFA Pitbul.
Regarding the game version, this is what kmaster is talking about.

It should be noted that the only thing the version effects is the "number" of pods you can mount at one time. If there a pod has missing files, it will error out on either version.
I think . . .
*.41 is retail install
*.42 is patched.
The Truck Works, like I said earlier. But now I have another problem. You know the message you get when you use a bad truck( you know, one that's missing a texture, ect.) Well, what do I do when I get that message for a track?
This happens when I try to run one of two tracks. On on, the box appears when it loads the scenery. The other one I don't know about. I'll check and report back soon.
By the way, both tracks are ones I've made, not ones I've downloaded...

If it's tracks you've made, then you might want to fix folder optons in windows explorer.

"if" that is the problem, you'll have to take all the models out, save and close traxx, then reopen traxx and put them back in. Sorry, it's the only way.

Ok, first I can't understand half of what you're saying. Second, If you want me to post the tracks so you can try them, I will. One of them is a stadium drag and the other is an air hockey table. Third, I AM NOT A NEW GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been at this for nearly a year and a half! I just recently got up the courage to post anything. Fourth, ... Um, fourth? Ah yes! Wait, no,no,no... Well, never mind. [(-:]

That's not very "informative", isn't it? [(-:]

1. Sorry about the new guy thing. (I have anger issues)
2. Here is the error, wait, how do I include a picture?
By the way, is there any way I can include a download in one of my messages? If not, I will post the track in the downloads section as planned. If it works, please don't delete it. I've been meaning to post a track for a while now.
