Re: A new idea

I seemed to have happened upon the origin of "Track Talk" . . . just over 22 years ago. Amazing. Oh, and as for EmceeMart's MCmountrally, it's HIGHLY recommended! Twas an old favorite of ours back in the day. ;-)

Amazing - nearly 19 years ago. Never really cared much for HotShoe the man, but he was above average as a track maker. ;)

Hey Mal, hope all is well, bud. Never knew about the YouTube clip!

Re: 1997 Monster Truck Madness Challenge

Incredible. Quite a few familiar names on that list. Not sure if that's the same ATTITUDE that made tracks, but I remember a lot of guys from SHO (GUNN, NUFF, DEATH, POWER, didn't know Crazy). I remember getting hammered by FEAK, Bug, Apocalypse, Maniac, Marlboro and quite a few of the guys on LAPD ...

Re: Voodoo Island - "No" cuts

LOL PhFoxy. Man, the cuts on Voodoo are cool to me because they're incredibly tough. I've always maintained that cuts should reward you (sometimes generously) if you're capable of pulling them off, but also make you pay if you can't. The cuts on Voodoo (most of them) do just that. The combination of ...

Hey, hey Obe! How ya doing, bud? Every time I run Castellar Mountain I still throw up in my mouth a little. Worst track ever made, but hey, we allowed it on you were on the team, so we had to add it to our track lists. ;)

Hope you're doing well, man. Be great to chat with ya sometime, see how you ...

Re: Lag from high quality textures

Oh, the things you could do with it :)
Could really mimic the monster truck physics and better articulate the models, include more terrain physics

One of the things I've always loved about MTM 2 was the game physics. Unrealistic? Sure, but it distinguishes itself from any other racing game I've ...

Re: Mud Pies Remastered by TRI/Cale

Hey Cale,

You stated that Mud Pies (both versions) never quite set well with you, which inspired you to produce this remastered version. Nothing wrong with that, not at all. You are correct in that aesthetically speaking Mud Pies left much to be desired in terms of visual appeal, but as for the ...

Re: MTM64 Tracks And Trucks For MTM2?

Hey Nascarfan - I definitely remember you!

To address a few of your questions real quick:

You can search for trucks here

Same for tracks

Not sure if you've heard, but a few guys got together to improve the draw distance of the game, and Cale redid the stock trucks, which are awesome. You can ...

COVID-19 Racing

Just a thought . . . whether you're looking for a cool racing game or if you're an old school Zone type with a lot of spare time on your hands thanks to COVID-19, download and install/dust off your old MTM-2 cd and pop into to Voobly's (looks quite a bit like the old Zone, but with a few more perks ...

Re: MTM1 Computer Opponents

Hey BD - good to see ya, bud!

There are definitely different theories with respect to fps and rumbles, how "strong" you were or not. If I recall, it wasn't the cpu speed that affected your 'manliness' (seems appropriate lol) on the cube, but rather how many fps you were cranking out. Slayer, I ...

Hey, hey Kmaster - good to see ya, bud. Hope all is well with ya. Re: Voodoo Island - "No" cuts

Wow - hard to believe it was nearly 17 years ago when this exchange between rocket (one of the most innovative track makers I had the pleasure of knowing) and I took place. I was actually brushing up on the stockers and was curious about lap times on Voodoo. Seems that I recall coming across lap ...

Re: What are the best looking tracks?

This topic definitely appeals to me as I could spend hours chronicling great tracks with eye-popping visuals. Alas, I'll simply second what's already been stated, but add that while it's full of technical flaws, check out "Wilderness" by Derz. Overlooked/unknown by quite a few MTMers, it definitely ...

Re: MTM2 Community Patch #2 - Bear Foot Unchained + HD Truck

Late to the party, as usual, but I just installed the new community patch with Cale's HD trucks. Two words: freakin ' awesome ! To say "great job, fellas" falls well short of paying a proper tribute to the end result. For whatever it's worth, I for one definitely admire and appreciate the time ...

After reading your post several times, I'm at a lost as to how to respond lol. I mean, that post is 12 years old, and my then 10-year-old son is now 22 and isn't necessarily a fan of racing games in general, let alone MTM 2.

Re: Very impressive

When we played CnR a major component of what made it fun was the fact we were mic'd up. Being able to use TeamSpeak to talk to and hear everyone was huge. Coordinating attacks in the form of being able to say, "so & so is out, that's _ down with _ more to go", or things along that line was huge. The ...
