It's great that Bill is being remembered like this. I'm no racer but it sounds like all who participated had a great time, & congrats Phin.

BTW did anyone ever make a track or truck dedicated to Bill?? I've been searching but haven't found anything yet (because I have an idea knocking around in my noggin).

The idea being that I make a track available (just the barebones assembled so far, terrain, course, checkpoints and working bots) for anyone to download and contribute to... i.e. add custom models, textures, alternative routes, animations (thinking of the vulture in Vulture's Peak - this was really ahead of it's time).

I've been thinking a lot about making a track dedicated to Bill but I seriously doubt that I could do it justice as a solo project, and I think this way all track makers, model makers and truck makers could get involved. What do you think folks? The basis of the next Expo Phin?

Does anyone know who Dr Scrote is? (I do BTW) :P Also does anyone know who BiffaBacon is? Imageand where he came from?
(it all has to do with Bill's British sense of humour)

Shadow Princess, you're beautiful... and we All thank you.

[edit]

:)

Oooops a slip up, what can i say, it was a long weekend lol, fixed now. One of the racers emailed me about the same mistake

Thx Malibu and yvw. Well done once again to all that raced this past month, Mal and Phine great work on your podium finishes.

EmceeMart.... I have always thought that a great idea when someone here was talking about it before. Seeing we have now run these over the last two Februarys I wonder if maybe for next year those that are able can get together and do a combined effort of track/tracks and/or trucks dedicated to Bill? Then we could run them for him next year? Just a thought....

Hey EmceeMart, great start, I like the layout and general feel of this track. You need some of the racers to run this and give opinions and suggestions... maybe put in the beta track section here, if you have not done so already :)

Anything for GB I love to see in this thread too, so that i can pick it up from the thread ready for next year, as a tournament host i for one thank you for starting to build this track.

Finished???

Post by ShadowPrincess »

Was this track ever completed does anyone know?????

I would once again in February, as we have done since the passing of GB, run a memorial tournament.

The last two years we have run all of GBs tracks. This year I would like to run tracks that our makers have made in his honour and also interested in trucks made in his honour that we may use if they can used without too many lag problems.

I know we all talked about this last year, can any of the makers fill me in :)

Would appreciate it

You know, I deserve a big smack upside the head. I completely forgot about making a GB track. Offline has been so demanding the past while almost everything mtm has taken a back seat. I could make excuses but there are none... except that I think two weeks a short time to try and come up with something.

I'm open to suggestions.

The track I mentioned working on last year was Big W. ... every track I ever made was in the mans honour, that's why they all have one of these Image next to it. :)

Phineus, hear you there, being my summer here, online life has taken a backseat also, and getting the tournaments started on time was very hard and much work needed for the start of the year. Thanks to those that kept me focussed. Yes I know two weeks is a big call, I should have posted in this thread earlier. We would never smack you lol.

Malibu, I see in this thread a bit back a truck was made, maybe I could use that too. I will let you both and anyone else reading this get together and see if we can get something happening. Silly me, I should look outside the square so to speak more often, of course every track that is made using traxx would honour that great man. The fact that you use the traxx symbol is nothing short of brilliant.

Don't think so, reportedly both are tracks currently in production.

Correct D2S, I have one in my hot little hands now, its going to be fun :D

You could say its a Bill track Slayer, in the sense that they are made with him in mind and dedicated to him :)
