Daemon Tools Virtual CD-DVD drive

A few people have asked so I whipped up a few notes on using Daemon Tools.

its defenatly a handy dandy little devil. i use it atleast once a week for this or that :)

does this let u mount a folder as a drive?

Like if u dvd shrink a DVD to a directory so u could play it.

this saves on laptop battery life - the hdd uses less power than a dvd drive.

No. You wouldn't need to mount a folder. You could just short cut to it from anyplace you want.

Use dvd shrink to iso. Then you can mount it using demon tools.

deamons also supports other formats too.
bin/cue, iso, bwt, ccd, nrg, and few others.

iso and bin/cue are the most common.

if u get winiso, use can make a cd or dvd from your hdd. so u could run a folder from that. winiso only support 100mb uless u buy it :(
