Problems Playing MTM2 online

Well after trying to figure out my problems for about two months I think I realized that there's something in my settings not allow me to play online. I've tried it with two computers so now I'm wondering what I might need to change in order to play online because I'm slowly going insane from boredom. If anyone could help I'd give you an interactive hug... well maybe not [:P]

Operating system
Connection type and isp
routers and hubs
software : firewalls, anti virus, etc
error messges, if any.

???

What's happening, what's not happening? Success rate with these types of problems isn't 100% but it's still pretty good. Just need to narrow things down before we start taking wild guesses ;-)

3rd time is a charm with Sprint. I called them for the 3rd time and I'm back to online racing so hopefully now I get to fix my computer.
