NASTRUCK 2005 Series

Post by NIR_Cr@$hC@rt »

I came up with a new idea to take place on my new tracks. I hope this idea will be popular and I would like it to get going. :) It will involve anyone who signs up driving their own NASTRUCK. BigDOGGe, may I have permission to re-paint your NASCAR tributes?

Idea

The NASTRUCK series will be an online race series for MTM2. It will use special racing trucks with slick tyres and NASCAR paint schemes. With luck, a good number of drivers will show up for races every Sunday evening. All tracks raced will be NASCAR tracks, made by me in miniature form. The trucks used will be re-painted versions of BigDOGGe's NASCAR tributes.

Tracks

If I get the series going, all tracks will be made as the series goes on. The first two tracks will be made before the season starts. From then on, the season progresses with tracks being made one week before their use. The races will all be 20 laps long.

Schedule

2 January - Daytona
9 January - North Carolina
16 January - Las Vegas
23 January - Darlington
6 February - Bristol
13 February - Talladega
20 February - Lowe's
6 March - Dover
13 March - Pocono
20 March - Indianapolis
27 March - Fontana
3 April - Watkins Glen
10 April - Phoenix
17 April - Infineon
24 April - Homesteads

This is only a provisional schedule for the season if it is popular. It is subject to change for various holidays.

Rules

The rules for race weekends are as follows:

Each Friday before the races, a thread will be made on forums and on the official site.

Drivers will sign up for each race in that thread.

Drivers will meet at 7:00pm GMT on Sunday for the races.

The first 8 will go into one room and when it is full, the next drivers will go into another room.

All rooms must have suitable descriptions for the series.

The password for each game will be revealed in the official thread.

When all drivers who signed up have arrived, or the deadline of 7:20pm has been reached, they will be split up into groups to run the short qualifying heats.

The groups will vary in size depending on the number of drivers at the meeting.

Once the groups have been split up, they will each run a 10 lap race and the host will note down the results somewhere.

After both heats have been completed, the hosts will ZM each other with the results.

The top 4 from each race will go into the first room, and the next 4 from each into another room and so on.

The race for the top 8 drivers will be 20 laps, the race for anyone else will be 15 laps.

All races will be run in Clear or Cloudy weather.

Sounds awesome bro. Of course you may reuse the trucks. All my trucks are always available to everyone for their own truck projects.

M_G05 please retract that. Even if your were joking. He meant no harm. Those ideas have been done before and will again. Some times folks just dont have time. You may have tried it at a bad time. Are people just weren't interested. Some times we hit a home run and some times we dont. Cr@$h is a good guy bud. Dont start bad feelings young man. [(-:]

Hey, come on now, no reason to get up tight about it. As Charles said, it's been done before and will be again, but there's no need to make a fuss about the fact that we've both done the same thing. OK? [(-:]

Well, they are strictly NASCAR style but I suppose you could write the name on the tailgate or something. :)

We could just use the stock Bigfoot for all the trucks if it would be easier. I have drawn up a template to aid your painting. :)

Image

Image

The white spaces must contain the truck's number, written large in Arial Black on the sides, small Arial Black on the light. (sorry for restricting you). The yellow is for the sponsor's logo. The spaces on the side must have the sponsor's written logo, the hood must have the proper logo. The orange on the tailgate must have a secondary, smaller sponsor. You may also have a name for the truck on the tailgate. :)

Yep, everybody needs a home page. But in dogge's case, even that can lead to a long search ;-)
