Insert your Windows CD and point it to look for the drivers from the CD Rom, and it should find what it needs on its own.

Just from what I see from your pics, that would be my guess, or at least that's what I do. But wheel's aren't really my bag, I'm sure there is someone here that will know more than me on this subject.

My Window's is on my E.machine
Re-Boot & Restore CD, all in one, which I just did
a couple nites back. hehe

A week are so back I messed up my
Registry, had to re-for-mat Window's.
Three days ago the wife was on line Surfing. lol
Well she download some Cool-Web's Tool-bar,
if came with some other stuff she downloaded,
I like a DUM- ___ hadnt put Norton back in the
Comp yet, DUM-___, so this Tool-Bar toke over
my Comp. Was smart enough to Dump it right-away.
Because Ada-ware, Spybot and Norton couldn't do
anything with it. Ran it for a day after to make sure
all was good and it is. [(-:] BUT, no wheel DONT work
in life.

Spybot will get rid of that garbage, and then install Ad-Aware, that should keep you clean, then for good measure visit www.trendmicro.com quite often

If you have broadband, then Zone Alarm is a good idea too. I'm anal about spyware, get on your messenger and I'll hook you up.

On the linked page, I clicked "Download this driver now!" and then on the page that came up I clicked on "click here to download" and then I was prompted to register. That's where I stopped. So, then I googled this (quotation marks and all)

"Microsoft SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel" and "drivers"

and came up with a windows KB article.

http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;297402

Searching for drivers used to be easy. Now it's become a royal pain.

The not connected message is kind of weird since it lists your wheel. I mean, how would windows know it's there if it's not connected.

Anyway, if it was me, I'd check, double check and triple check all the wires are plugged in correctly. Then, I'd create a restore point (if you can) and first try the knowledge base article and if that didn't work I'd register for the download using a bogus email address to avoid the spam and then try that. I mean, if it's not working, what choice have you got? If it totally messes you up, just reinstall again. It's not like you've got months or years invested in this installation yet. And if none of that appeals to you, you can always go out and buy a new wheel and send your old one to me ;-)

Well now I can even get the Wheel to
unistall. I try reinstalling it and a warning sign
comes up saying that I may-be unable to
uninstall the wheel
, and cant.
And it doesnt even show in Program Files now.
Anybody know a way to uninstall it.

You might try this
<ul><li><a href="http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Sidewinder-Game-Controller-Software/3000-2114-2115541.html?part=winmp&subj=dl&tag=feed&jump=winmp">http://www.download.com/Microsoft-Sidewinder-Game-Controller</a></li></ul>
The only other thing I can think of is digging through your old software and see if you can find any install disk that came with the controller.
