I thought you might have seen my work :)

TrackEd3 is the 4x4 Evolution editor, but I used it to position all of the models in all tracks listed here. I think I'm the only person who makes tracks this way. I use TrackEd3 because I like the crisp 3D graphics, and it allows me to position models with great precision -- the fences in Ruach (the picture/link you posted) are the perfect example.

TrackEd3 was only used to adjust the objects, and it requires editing tricks and a special converter. I have many notes about this scattered around the forum but here is the basic method...

- Create most of the track in Traxx and include the BIN models you wish to use.
- Extract the track pod into the TrackEd3 folder and open it (load the SIT).
- Edit your models then save, which then saves the SIT in Evo1 format.
- Load the new SIT in Wordpad, prepare it for Phin's converter, then save it.
- Convert the .SIT with Phin's utility. You now have the "boxes" portion isolated.
- Paste the converted "boxes" section back into your original Traxx-made .SIT file.
- Build your POD with a pod utility and mount it in the game.
- ONLY the "boxes" (object properties) portion of the Evo1 .SIT file is used.

It's all pretty easy IF you already know how to use TrackEd3 and how to extract pods and put them back together, otherwise it would be a headache. And, I wouldn't recommend it unless you plan to build complex structures using models.

Anyone truly interested in the method should probably contact me (or post a message here) for details, information and links. I don't expect anyone will be interested, which is why I haven't finished my notes or compiled them into one location.

Well, I was making someones, but my problem is that I never them complete. I 'm ever seeing incompleted.

Yet I have 3 or 4 proyect without finishing. And I wanted make my objects 3D. And with BinEdit, I was turned crazy. And I tried to use the Tiremaker, but had problems at the time to change de MTM2's dir. I have installed in default dir (E:\Archivos de programas\Microsoft Games....blablabla), but Tiremaker like C:\Program Files. jeje.

Finally I my self: "Why don´t make my own truck?" Since 1998 that I have drived the same trucks (TRI's trucks). And I have discovered Tracked2, but have her limits: Can only ensamble BINs of the game (Default trucks's parts) or download models of another autors.

This is my situation.

Thanks. I hope to see your tracks finished some day, even if you use existing objects.
I also have many incomplete tracks. [;)]

>> And with BinEdit, I was turned crazy.

You are not alone!
I must say: The new BinEdit is better.
The texture mapping is easier and better.
It also has a complete truck editor built it (TrackEd2 is dead).
It makes everything easier, but I know it's still not 'easy' to learn everything.

best wishes

mmmm.... http://mtm2.com/~forum/images/bineditvehicleeditor.gif

I seed that, but didn't pay attention.

Then, this BinEdit version is a everything in one?
This made my work more easy. The tutorials in english are killing me. They are nice, but, after a time, are tedious.

Thank you very much. You have given back the will to me.

Spanish.... portuguese....

You live in the country of the language mother. We eat your films in english (with subtitles), games, websites. It is not your fault, it's my problem.

No exist sites in spanish language about Monster Truck. It is a northunitedstate sport. And I don't know people who play MTM, less still than makes tracks or trucks.

This it is the only place (with anothers sites founded in Google or Altavista) where I can enjoy this game.

Yes, Babelfish is a old friend. Aldo http://www.google.com/language_tools

It is not the same to that it is in Spanish or a similar language.

Imagine: have to speak with a friend of another language, and to have to use a intermediator translator. He is very uncomfortable.

It is for that reason that exists Yahoo.com.es, Google.com.es, I don't know.... ehhh.... Linux-es.org.

And I must use BinEdit and Traxx in english.

Recently time I began a project to solve the idiomatics problems.

- This it is already not subject to speak in post of Tracked2 [(-:] -

Hi, yes sometimes can be hard.

I host the tournaments for MTM2 and Evo 1. In Evo we have very many Brazilian and a few Spanish racers, some speaking both english and portugese, some just portugese. Some of the pages on my site for the tournaments have been translated into portugese by a number of friends in the game upon request from me to make these non english speaking racers feel as welcome as everyone else. Translators are not always the best I know when you have to translate and then transpose to make things make sense, however these guys have done a great job and service for the gamers. Thanks to them I now post my 'welcome message' and 'about the tournament' on the day in both languages in Evo and this helps them feel right at home, there is always someone on hand that speaks portugese that translates for me if we have a new racer any day, I just ask is a translator available to help me and someone always steps up. This is very important especially with the numbers we are getting in evo tournaments.

Kmaster is spanish I believe and has started racing the MTM tounaments with us which is fantastic to always get new racers. He has just translated the rules page for MTM2 into Spanish and this will be uploaded to my site very shortly. (Thank you very much Kmaster. If you are reading this feel free to translate.)

Maybe some of these guys can be a help to you here too?

Happy Track Making, its always great seeing new tracks come along for the racers. :D

*LOL* i'm not Spanish, i'm Chilean, I talk Spanish. [:P]

You may wonder, If kmaster's english sucks then WHY he made so many translations? bueno, the truth is : read what you say in english is very EASY for me, the complicated thing (for me) is WRITTING in english. Also, translations for me are a hobby, I have translated a lot of games and programs like Carmageddon 2 , also Red Alert 2, also my PODMATE2 is translated, my FLYRAWGUI too, i have a very ultra-aplha translated version of Binedit.
