Nostalgia Championship Series

Post by ShadowPrincess »

As I think most of your knew, 17th August was the day that the MTM demo was made available from Microsoft's web site.

The tournaments helped celebrate this anniversary; the month of August saw us racing 4 weeks of tracks back from the MTM1 days. Some exciting racing at times and close rounds.

You can read all about this annual tournament HERE

Before the start of next weeks tournament, there will be a 'Presentation of Awards' to the top pointscorers for the month. All welcome to join us Sat 5pm EST at BattleHQ.

I will post link to the awards after the Presentations :)

Congrats to all the finishers, and nice job SP. Changing horses in mid-stream is never easy but looks like the transition didn't interrupt a thing.

Ummm Malibu, dont think its the person that you are thinking of?
If you are thinking of JM as in RIP_JM that is a different person, RIP_JM is still very much RIP and does race the tournaments as RIP_JM when he is able to.
Guess my post was a bit wrong in the sense that in MTM Jammer is known as OLD_Jammer1 or OLD_Jammer. The J.M. after his name is from Evo and he only uses it there, sorry for the confusion, my fault.

OLD_Jammer J.M. (also known as OLD_Jammer or OLD_Jammer 1 in MTM) is an Evo racer on the top of his field there. It was him that approached me to host Evo 1 tournaments.
Jammer came over to MTM and has to-date brought other die-hard evo racers with him from time to time.
Re the J.M. after his name: it means he is a Jedi Master. The JediTeam is an elite and respected Group of extreme offroaders. His website can be found HERE
He also holds the badges R4I X4 which are applicable to the game of Evo 1 and are the highest you can achieve.
A pretty talented guy I think you will admit.

Hi Runt nice to see you in this thread. I have visited your site... so you are a host too, and the tournaments are a lot different to mine from what I can see. Looks very interesting indeed.

At the moment I host two games; MTM2 on the racing side, although it has been talked about hosting rumbles and Evolution 4x4. It is very easy to get involved really. Racers can email beforehand or they can just show up, which most do. There are pages on my site which I direct people too. All times, tournament tracks, rules and necessary info are there; what patches you need in the respective games... in regards to evo what truck is being used. Then if they still have questions they can get back to me.
I do not host Evo2 as it has its own hosts at this time and I much prefer Evo 1 myself.

MTM2

Evo1

I do race and rumble myself. I like to host and do it for the love and further enjoyment of the games. Some like tournaments, some dont, for those that want the extra bit, its there :) MTM is an old game but it still has its followers and while people still want and race the tournaments I will host them. I have hosted mtm tournaments for as little as 4 and as many as 21, while racers show up, I will host. Hope that helps :)

alright, cool. i'll check it out, maybe even run on the 9th ;). i've never used battlehq, but i'm sure it's not hard. i'll try to be there on saturday, getcha the info, and see how bad i am against the stock circuit racers, lol. i hope to race when i can. i have evo 1, and it's quite a good game, it'd just be a pain for me to find my old cd.
