I kind ajust htought of that page as over complicating it. When it finally sstarted loading the pages, it all worked fine. isntall program, choose the game i got (when prompted to do so) then choose the lobby. easy. Finding the launch button, now that was hard.

Edit-
The joining the game in progress, I've never actually tried it but it woulda helped in the last tourny i was in.

(I should read the isntructions but they intimedate me *wimper* "Men don't need instructions" <----lol)

Oh, that doesn't matter. I was a slow poke for the longest time so who would have thought I'd win a tourney back in the winter. Sometimes the slow guys can get lucky once in a while. The best part is there's always lots of company at the back of the pack so you're never alone. And sometimes battling it out for last place can be just as much fun as fighting for first. And I know because I'm at the rear more than the front.

Ain't that the truth Phin? I thought I'd never win a race, let alone a tourney. But miracles DO happen. Keep at it Trackster, it just takes practice, practice, practice.

Sure, crawfy, but when was that written? I think experience has taught us a few things since that time. I'm not saying anybody should ditch wgc or anything but keeping options open won't hurt anything either.

Hey Phineus, long time! Would be cool to race in the tourneys but the time does not suit unfortunately :( If only it was saturday afternoon new zealand time... hehe

Yes Phineus, once again experience has taught us a great lot, as sad as that can sometimes be. :/

I dont c a reason not to ditch WGC. Obviously WGC opened before it was ready. But I don't think they planned it enough before getting started. And what is it, like 60% of IT projects will fail.

At places this thread becomes hard to follow with "edited posts" that are completely deleted, lol.

Here are my 2 cents on the real topic:
Note: my gaming system is Win98se

Unlike WGC which proved to be non-functional for Win98
BattleHQ worked fine with me.
No problems at installation just following the instructions of
http://www.geocities.com/vtrc_thunder/battlehqinstalldirections.htm
I was able to race immediately without further fiddling.

A few tips for those who want to use ZoneAlarm personal firewall:
    1) Set the internet security level to medium
    2) Allow MTM2 to access the internet and to act as a server (when asked the first time, click "yes" and " remember this setting")
    3) Deactivate notification messages (otherwise your game would be interrupted with messages triggered by port scans and the like)
