Trouble trying to win a race

I am have some problems trying to win a race in my league. i have never won a race on my own without the other racer hitting a pole or missing the ramp how can i be better with my racing and all

I have the same problem. Only it's usually me who hits the pole or drives off the cliff.

But to answer your question, manual shifting is much faster than automatic transmission. Having the right gears and tires helps too.

Also, Cope says you should be getting 8500 rpms when you're in neutral. It seems a good measure to me.
