Results: Skid Rally Racing & Rumbles

Post by ShadowPrincess »

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind I have enjoyed with the gamers of mtm. Chat, games and tournaments at Renaissance Games continue. The usual weekly write-ups have had to take a backseat, the game is going strong.

Rumble tournaments have resumed after many years and those held to date since going live at RenGames can be found H E R E

Racing tournaments continue and results can be found H E R E

RACING:
Last week in MTM racing saw us on the track Skid Rally by Skid, made in 1998, this track was made within two months of the game's retail release. I am glad so many of you had fun on this track, it certainly required some driving skill. While many practiced this track a lot during the week, it was a case of who crashed the least that tournament lol. Fantastic racing to everyone that participated. Rengames gave the winner of this tournament a special coin by their name for Easter, our game being picked for this promotion by RenGames and even I had no idea until the finish.

1st: Phineus
2nd: Drive2Survive
3rd: OLD_mumhra

RUMBLES:
As mentioned above we have had very many rumble tournaments, both 1v1 Single Elim Hypercube and also 1v1 double elim add-on rumbles.

The last Hypercube rumble had the following results:

1st : Backhand
2nd : ATW_Eder
3rd : Ti_War

Our last add-on rumble tournament was "Seasons In Hell".

1st : Backhand
2nd : Hobs
3rd : RTE_Edmid

I am glad you all had fun on this track...

Well, not exactly... [uhuh]
In my opinion this track was a very bad choice for a tourney.

I too am tired of your whining RA. We all run on the same track, so deal with it! Just because you don't like the track or you get bumped is no reason to cry like a baby. We've all gotten lag kicked at one time or another, and I don't always like the tourney track...but I don't whine about it like you do. And I don't quit in the middle of a tourney just because I don't like the track. GROW UP!!!

The original post from which I copy pasted the quote has been edited.
My reply has been edited as well and in it's current form does not reflect the originally stated opinion.

The current wording is fine with me.

The post as it is NOW was there BEFORE you posted.

I suggest you read posts again before you decide to post, and dont have a go at me, I have had enough of this.

I enjoyed the track very much, trying to keep pace with twinkletoes was a great challenge indeed.

Keep in mind the time frame in which the track was made, probably with one of Bills earliest beta versions of traxx at a time when most tracks were built in a day or two with little regard to technical aspects that exsist today but not then. A totally different mindset than today.

My apologies to D2S. I was racing in chase far and cut into his lane thinking he was at least a couple truck lengths behind but thanks to lag, he was indeed right beside me so I inadvertantly ran him off the road, sorry buddy.

I heard from Bug that this was a buggy track with invis checkpoints and such, that he hated it vastly etc.

hmmm, im kinda sorry I missed it, i usually consider such triffles as challenges, same reason I love "Scream".

Also, usually the best way for me to get ahead in the race, since usually speed fails me, i am pretty good at staying on my wheels, and working my way thru glitches.

also, its bad enough when people complain cause they continuously lose, but when the person that continuosly wins, makes a huge stink about losing, i just cant help but lose all respect for the individual.

Not directed at you RA specifically, its just a comment.
