Didn't work on my system (Vista Premium), had to use Windows 98/ME compatability mode to get it to work!

Video driver problem.

Try finding either newer drivers or older drivers. I had this problem too with my 8800 when i migrated to Vista. The first few drivers had this problem and also caused, in my case, driver errors which translated into the game not working in hardware mode (sometimes).

Either try older drivers or newer ones, even if they are beta drivers. For example my current drivers are beta drivers that i have found to work without a problem in most of the games so i just sticked with those.

yeah I had a version of nVIdia drivers that did that once. One of the reasons I have never upgraded since, mine work fine now, never touching them again lol

well your using intel graphics, basically the lowest POS possible. I can lend you an old ATI ISA card with 2 megs of VRAM, it would be mroe powerful than that intel crap u got now

kmaster, i might have new info on your video problem.

Search if your drivers have any sort of "driver properties" that let's you configure the overall video card qualities (for example anti-aliasing). I have did some testing and it seems that this error appears when the video card is forced to use anti-aliasing. It is either the anti-aliasing or the "anti-aliasing transparency".

I have selected both this options on off and i do not have the problem anymore. When they are turned on the problem appears.

Anisotropic filtering is something different.

You need antialiasing.

When I try to copy a pod file to the MTM2 folder in Vista, it says

"An unexpected error is preventing the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem.

Error 0x80004005: Unspecified Error"

How can I fix this?

Firstly, thank you JerOutlaw, I found the draggers link fantastic, your instructions worked like a charm.

Always a work around somewhere weirdalfan27. I had to set up someones new computer which had vista installed, and did also get this error, how I got around it was;

I downloaded the pod zip I wanted to the desktop,
unzipped the pod to the desktop,
then opened the mtm folder and dragged and dropped the pod in there, of course vista as usual needed permission to do this, so make sure you are logged in as administrator, i gave permission and it moved.

In my case it would not however allow the direct download or the extraction of the zip direct to the mtm folder.

Vista has been a real nuisance at times and I always seem to be using work arounds to something I feel should be simple.
