tires won't turn

Post by levi »

when you change the view on the truck your racing so you can see the wheels. they don't move but the truck still moves and drives like the tires are turning. any reason why? o'h yea the opponent trucks you can add, there wheels still turn.

Hmmm... i had this happening to me once. There was something corrupt in the game but i do not remember what.

Try taking out a few tracks and/or trucks and see if it does it again. I don't remember exactly how i solved it but i know it was something to do with the track or truck list (i was running stock truck but had extra trucks mounted).

Hmmmm.... wait a minute.

What track are you running? Is it your own track or a custom made track?

Call the helicopter and wait for it to pick you up. Tell me if it brings you in the middle of nowhere.

Or flip your truck over and see if anything weird happens.

Guess it's not it. My problem, as far as i recall, was due to a faulty course in my own track that i was testing it while making it.

Had this problem while making Razzle Dazzle.

2. Uhm... helicopter doesn't work. I added the extended course and heli doesn't work. It brings me to no man's land (in an instant) and i cannot move from there.

Also if i flip the truck over it gets spawned in the same no man's land.

Also at one point, for some unknown reason (no error no nothing) the wheels stopped turning. The truck was handling as normal but the wheels weren't rotating.

Found it. The bermuda triangle error...

And i fixed it. Had to redo the extended course. No idea why. The non-rotating wheels probably were related.

to which Phin replied

> the wheels stopped turning

LOL

Very insightful Phin :p

I have the same problem. I'm making a track with Traxx and the heli puts me in the middle of nowhere, wheels won't turn all the time and the game doesn't put the truck back on it's wheels when it flips over. I don't have this problem when I run another track, only my own... so I guess the problem isn't in the game itself?? I drive a standard truck.
Does anyone have a solution please?

Problem solved thanks to Mumhra. I placed the segments for course editing to close together. With bigger gaps between them it works just fine.

A new track maker ?

[:-)]

Yes, those segments can wreak havoc on a track. Glad you got it sorted out.

It takes a while but can be well worth it. If there's ever anything mumhra can't or won't help with, just let us know. We have answers for 'most' things and are glad to help when we can.

I think there will be lots of things i can't help with because my track making skills are very limited compared the skills of lots of people here lol.
I must say however that so far i'm very impressed with what she is making. From time to time i have to help a little but not very often. She trys to do as much as possible herself.
In the future you guys will recieve a beta but that may still take some time since she is a perfectionist. She does not want to load up a beta filled with errors :) .
